  1. Not sure. Stats show he's played in 4 games but only has 1 assisted tackle. Don't recall seeing him on the field much this far, hopefully he has something to prove.
  2. Weekly 2 deep changes: Norberg listed as starting running back, Garman listed as #2 With last weeks starter Woodsmall injured, NG depth chart is now Hinojosa/Cheatom/Cummings
  3. 2004. It isn't allowed in every lot surrounding the Fargodome but I believe that the ones it isn't allowed in are general admission and mainly just parking anyway.
  4. There is most definitely drinking allowed at NDSU tailgating. Alcohol is only served in the suites once you are inside the Fargodome. While their student section is currently light years ahead of UND's, they too have issues with students leaving games early.

Heard they expect to put up 2-3 trusses up per week and are pushing to have it fully enclosed before the end of 2014.
  6. No one said ranting was unacceptable. But doing so about something that has no basis in reality or any sort of supporting facts and then claiming it is in the sake of so called "vigilance" is tin-foil hat stuff. Also, I don't recall Kupchella ever threatening to abolish the student section. There were possibilities of it being moved and other options being explored but at no point did I ever hear a threat of abolishment. It would have been empty rhetoric as the backlash would have been monumental..
  7. And I'm saying it is not a possibility. The fact that you think that somehow UND would take away all seats from students (who pay a ton for athletics in student fees) to watch other fellow students compete, is ridiculous. Ralph was very adamant about the students having access to good seating. That doesn't mean that they will always have spots where they are (I'm surprised they haven't been moved to one of the ends like many other arenas). The REA would be doing the program, UND and themselves a disservice to not re-evaluate the use of students seating, especially when large chunks aren't being used and there is a demand of people who want to purchase them. At no point will they ever be fully taken away. Side note - You make it sound like the REA would be the ones who get all the money from selling those seats to the highest bidder. Every seat in the REA costs the same regardless of where it is. The difference is the donation that is required to get those seats. UND is the one who gets that money, not the REA. Anyone who paid attention to what has gone on with the Fighting Sioux nickname over the past two decades in no way can claim to be blindsided that it is retired. There has been issues with it forever, it wasn't something that came up out of the blue. Coming up scenarios that have absolutely less than zero basis for being formed is not being vigilant, it is ranting for the sake of ranting.
  8. It's a fine line. They do contribute a large amount of fees to the athletic department. They have taken some steps in the this direction already within the last year or two by moving the students over a section. The best thing for everyone is a good team on the field that the students are excited to come support. Feels like we are headed in the right direction. Hopefully with it being Homecoming week and fairly decent weather forecasted for Saturday, there's another good turnout.
  9. Not sure why they just don't look into giving him the ball every play, he was the real deal. From where they're sitting, couldn't hurt to try?
  10. It was all part of Douple's master plan. Actually I think that the WAC offered UMKC some incentives to jump ship and it didn't work out as they had planned.
  11. Weber State will be a bottom team in the Big Sky but gave NDSU a tough game and played them closer than half the MVFC will, so how does that math work out? Would Weber State be a middle of the road team in the MVFC despite them being a bottom team in the Big Sky? Hypotheticals are just that.
  12. Ron Loghry, Big Sky Associate Commissioner, will be speaking at the fan luncheon tomorrow. He's happens to be in charge of the league's television contract. There is always an opportunity to ask questions, might not be a bad thing to bring up...
  13. Agree. My guess is he thought he had a window to really make some noise and tried for a couple quick fixes instead of taking the long-term approach, especially after Brekke started having injury troubles. Sacrificed some long-term gains for a quick term fix. Almost worked.
  14. UND isn't alone at the 5 spot, it is a constant weakness among low and mid-major teams. Have to take some chances on kids and hope they develop.
  15. Not quite the same but something from the Jr Champions newsletter:
  16. And I thought Ticketmaster and Stubhub had a corner on the online shake-down market for fees and ridiculousness. I think there's a new clubhouse leader.
  17. 2-deep changes: Starting WR's are now listed as Ferguson/Cerriteno/McGill with Ivery/Seibel/Walker as the #2's. Last week was Walker/McGill/Ivery and Ferguson/Cerriteno/Seibel. Woodsmall now listed as starter at NG and Hinojosa is #2. Carr back as starting FS with Domo Blackmon now listed as #2. Was James/Montague last week. James now listed as back-up SS where Carr was last week. Meindel makes a return and now listed as back-up punter instead of Ben Peters.
  18. Fair enough. They did what they could to save quite a few things, probably beyond what they would in a normal situation. My comment was more of a general one that people are surprised there is no logo because there was pretty much no way there could have been one with what they wanted to do.
  19. You realize that UND has actually dropped the Sioux logo and nickname right? How were they supposed to do a complete renovation and stay in compliance with the settlement agreement?
  20. I'll take MacMillian to start off his senior season the right way.
  21. Quality sources you have. Same one that told you DeBoer was the next head coach?
  22. Apparently there is a semi-pro team in Maryland that uses the name and they use Nokotas. And your favorite team pointed out, putting the "s" on the end is interchangeable.....
  23. I'm confused. So it's Mussman's fault. But it's also Buning's fault that he got fired so someone else had to hire Mussman. You also keep ignoring that Mussman was a huge part of why UND was so successful previously and that Lennon took a new job at the worst possible time for UND (don't blame him for advancing himself) and the cupboard wasn't exactly full when he left. Mussman was a very logical candidate at a time when people weren't exactly going to be pounding down the door for a job at a school in transition. Hindsight makes everyone look pretty smart.
