University of North Dakota Hockey 2017-18 Season

Parts of it were in the works but temporarily put on hold. -
Or come up with a secondary logo that isn't so bad it has to be scrapped. No argument from me on that.
-
Not quite. Those schools all use those markings as actual logos (primary or secondary), similar to when UND would use the interlocking ND, which was an official logo (secondary that became primary for a few years). The Fighting Hawks word mark is not considered a logo.

He was out of eligibility and didn't get a 6th year granted.

Well, one is people doing something at a public event that is usually broadcast on TV and comes off as embarrassing, the other is anonymous posts on a message board that can easily be skipped over or ignored with a simple click.
-
And $500,000 in international bonus pool money. Not a huge amount but increases their pool amount by almost 10%.

STATS FCS Preseason All-Americans DB - Cole Reyes (1st team) KR - John Santiago (1st team)

But if he would have been a scholarship player, we would have got to hear about UND using a scholarship on another player who didn't have an impressive offer list.
-
When a portion of the fan base continues to do something that appears embarrassing to the rest of the fan base and University, I think speaking up on it is fair game.
-
Personally knowing some of the people on the committee, that is a complete lie and takes some unnecessary shots at some people who have done a ton for UND. I do agree that part of Kelley's job when he was hired was to take care of the nickname issue but the writing was already on the wall when he started in mid-2008 as the settlement was signed in 2007.

It actually seems strange that three isn't more concern. It's a legit concern. For whatever reason either fans are either unaware or have blind faith in Douple. I'm not sure which is worse.
-
To each his own. The new sound system will be a big improvement but I thought that and the "curious" hawk were great.

Are your serious? They are at the minimum at both sports required to keep their autobids and IPFW, who has sponsors both, is now out on an island. The Summit has truly never been stable. They currently have a good core, but not the numbers in sports where it matters due to not sponsoring football. Either you aren't paying attention or really only care about football.

A lot of those big donations take years to secure, likely just a timing issue. Might be some correlation with the NDUS Challenge grants as well, though I don't remember the exact timeline on those.
-
No it wasn't. And even if it was (and again, it wasn't), having input from everyone sure worked out well for choosing the new nickname didn't it.
-
While I get what you were going for, this isn't true at all.
-
Games like that made me glad the CanadInn is connected to the Alerus and had bars and gaming.
-
I think that's a stretch. Games start at 11am and run through the evening. There are plenty of big time games that start between 11am and 2:30 pm.

If it was a kid who was at a camp and then got an offer, then I have zero concern about what other offers the kid has. They are seeing those kids first hand against lots of other kids that UND (and other schools) has offers out to or is considering offering. Their judgement has been pretty good with kids from camps.

It's because Eversport and which ever developer they worked with failed to deliver what they had promised. Pluto TV bought Eversport and already had the infrastructure developed, all they had to do was add the Big Sky channel.
-
If true, surprised they haven't made a little more mention of it. Also curious if it has to be a full endowment or if a partial ones are included.
