  1. Honestly, the primary impetus for the trip is to visit my brother-in-law, but I always try to combine these trips with a Sioux game or other sporting event. However, three friends and I are coming back for the Ice Breaker Tournament and the Sioux football game in a little over a month (already have our tickets for the Ice Breaker), where the only impetus is Sioux hockey/football! Go Sioux!
  2. Decided over the weekend to drive up from Missouri; predicting 9,750 and 31-21, Sioux.
  3. If so, with respect to NDSU and USD, then pettiness is keeping our two biggest rivals off the schedule. I'd like to see us show that we're bigger than all this and do what's best for the teams and the fans, not to mention the bottom line (good attendance, minimal travel).
  4. He's from Anchorage.
  5. I wonder what in the world brought him all the way to UND from Fairbanks.
  6. Good schedule, but would have liked to have seen NDSU, SDSU, and USD on the schedule. Sad that not one of them is.
  7. Thanks for the helpful info. Question for anyone: I thought that the Drake game was being televised but I don't see it listed on the TV schedule. Thanks.
  8. Or......the liberal media helped cover up the fact that the person now in the White House is a left-wing extremist.
  9. Another game to add to the schedule: UND @ UMKC on Dec. 7. Which is fine by me, since it's in my back yard, but they've been alternating between Grand Forks and Kansas City every year and this should have been their turn to go to Grand Forks.
  10. Wonder why he would make what looks like a lateral move for him, plus he has to go through the last year of the transition here.
  11. Good thing you included the word "almost."
  12. Sounds like whoever takes a chance on this guy won't be sorry that they did. His physical tools and desire are a great combo.
  13. Given that we have to change the name, I kind of like The Fighting Nodaks.
  14. There's a tripleheader weekend Oct. 7-8 (including the IceBreaker Tourn. with BC, Mich St. & Air Force), if that works for you. I plan on going up that weekend with 3 friends.
  15. I think it's time for Capt. Burgraff to write another one of his scathing e-mails.
  16. The way that her termination was handled is a disgrace. I hope that those who were in on this shameful handling of it are held to account for it. Treating people like this has got to be a real downer, morale-wise, for other faculty and staff.
  17. Thanks for passing this on. I had no idea; this has got to be one of the most corrupt football programs on the planet.
  18. Makes a huge difference when you're getting some pitching. Had a staff ERA of over 8 going into the tournament and all of a sudden our pitchers have only given up a total of 3 runs in two games. We've got decent hitting (team BA of .291), so if we continue to get that kind of pitching, who knows. . . . . .
  19. Right on; one has to block out the regular naysayers and focus on the step-by-step progress that's being made. The schedule gets dramatically better (and tougher) next season (and thereafter), and our last two recruiting classes will start to make their impact, if not this season, next season when it really counts. Go SIOUX!
  20. Thanks. Any guesses as to what size tennis shoes Phil wore back then? He had some serious feet!
  21. Is Rogers the third guy in the picture with Fitch and Jackson?
  22. Looks like we've got our recruiting priorities straight. Hope we bring in at least a couple of more good pitching prospects.
  23. The Sioux scored 46 runs in the four games at Northern Colorado, including 18 in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, and yet got swept. Wow!
  24. Anyone heard whether or not we're pursuing either any of the UNO football players or any of their recruits? I would think there'd be some good talent to be had.
