What would other schools in the area do if one of their players shoplifted $16? Would they be dismissed from the team? I like what Bubba is doing? It will definitely get the attention of the other players. I'm guessing he had warned the kid if he got in trouble again there would be consequences. I have a feeling a lot of coaches wouldn't have cut the player though.

I am not sure what the vote will be. Most people I talk to like the Roughriders. The only issue is whether it will have 50% of the vote.

UND lead the way with COA. We started COA a year before NDSU . We already are paying COA in Men's and Women's Hockey. I guess NDSU wasn't the leader in this. I guess UND paying COA was being talked about in our athletic department.

Just watched the highlights of the game. The one thing I did notice is there were a lot more people in the stands in the first quarter than in the 4th quarter. It is fun to send the away crowd home early.

In the postgame one of Wyoming's secondary players said UND's running game wasn't anything special. I guess teams with good running games must run for 5 or 6 hundred yards against them. We must of done something right.

The Big Sky conference took down 2 FBS schools today. Is that right?

Are most of the conference games for all our sports still going to be available on Big Sky TV this year? Is it the same website as last year?

I didn't see you had this thread going but does anyone think there is a chance Gameday could come to Missoula now? The network executives had to love the environment at Montana. Over 26,000 at the game. #5 for NDSU had a bad day. Maybe we can go at him too when we play them in Fargo.

With Montana taking down NDSU what are the chances that Gameday comes to Montana now? It would be kind of exciting if it happened when we play Montana out there. The network executives must of loved the environment of the game in Missoula today. They had over 26.000 at the game.

Looks like Bubba and his staff are really strengthening our recruiting in the state of Minnesota. Just like before. Really exciting. It also good to see us get recruits away from the MVF conference schools. To a lot of high school kids the Big Sky conference locations has got to look very appealing. They get to play all across the western United States and in a lot of beautiful locations. The future is looking very bright. Go Big Sky.

Am I understanding you right? You can't get approval from SBoHE until the funds are raised. The funds haven't been raised... right? Do we need to get approval to raise funds. Clarify.

The Alerus is definitely one of the best facilities in FCS. If we can win games and fill it up with fans, it would be considered a tremendous facility. The noise factor can be deafening if we remember the National Championship year. Everything ties together. I am pretty sure that the Alerus and IPF has a wow factor to most perspective recruits. If we win games and get in the playoffs our facilities will have no problem attracting top recruits.

Having a rally to support the no nickname option is going to create a lot more negativity than positivity to this mess. Can we just PLEASE just move on. They will be hurting their cause rather than helping it.

There is no need to point fingers as to why the Nickel isn't being played for. After what went on with the Sioux nickname the past few years, there is zero chance the Nickel will ever be played for again. That is just the way it is.

Bison fans are sure on here trying to tell everyone how good they will be. Believe it or not most UND fans think NDSU is very good. The big question mark is how good UND will be. That is something to talk about and wonder about. NDSU fans probably don't need to be wasting our time bragging about their team on this forum.

They might be 2 miles apart but it just isn't a problem. The people connected to Red River know the difference and most everyone else doesn't care. Most of the Red River people I have talked to have no problem with it. Every possible nickname has some negatives. The University has to sit back and look at the big picture. The negative with using the Roughrider name is far and away outweighed by the many positives with using Roughriders. Nothing is going to be perfect.

Thank you for proving my point,. In the big picture, not a lot of time is spent talking about Red River either. It is like a drop in the bucket to what the University of North Dakota represents. Some people have said they do not want to use Roughriders because Red River is using that name. That happens all the time. How many schools in the area used the Bison for their athletic teams. Just off the top doesn't Hazen use the Bison. Isn't Milnor the Bison. Are their any other schools? That is hard to avoid.

What are the chances of landing Addae?

I am not sure what is going to happen on the nickname, but it seems to me that the general consensus is Roughrider is the one unless we pick no nickname. Is that feeling most people are getting?
