Looks like Cal Poly, Southern Utah, Weber State and UND didn't get on the schedule. I am not sure why Idaho State and Northern Colorado got games.

After our record last year, I am sure it is unlikely we would be one of the games on Roots sports. I don't think that would be a surprise.

Nice story in the Herald today about UND's domination of NDSU. In Fargo they are saying head to head means nothing. They say all that matters is what happens at the end of the year. So I guess that means if they ever beat us again in a sport they won't be bragging about it at all. I guess we will see if it is a big deal to them if it ever happens. I am sure they won't even bring it up if they beat us.

Would you suspect that most of these players were let go? I was guessing Pallendech and Williams would be 2 we would of wanted to stay. That is just an opinion. It is possible that the coaching staff just cleaned house to start building for the future. Does anyone know the specifics?

It might be my imagination but whenever there is a night game there doesn't seem to be as much energy in the crowd. Particularly in 2nd half. I sense that whether it is a good game or a bad game. It could be because either you are out in the sun all day or tailgating for an extended period of time. It just seems like the enthusiasm seems to taper.

My least favorite time for games are the 6 or 7 start times without a doubt. After that any time between 1 and 3 I like best. Actually 3 might be my favorite.

UND hasn't announced their start times for home football games yet.. What does everyone prefer?
-
I know UND signed a few recruits a while ago. After a fantastic season now would be the time to land another star recruit. Do they have any scholarship money still available for next year?
-
Extremely impressive performance. First time in March Madness, only 2 years elgible, playing one of the top teams in the country at their barn in front of a hostile crowd. A tremendous showing. I can't wait for next year.

If the women keep this game within 30 I will be surprised.

Grace Sawatzke and Monticello got beat yesterday team in the quarterfinals. She had 11 points.

The reality of the situation is that when it comes to basketball the majority of your fans are probably going to stay home and watch the game on TV. At this time of the year weather can be questionable. . I prefer to hopefully have my team win the conference and get to host the tournament. Every situation has it's positives and negatives. Even if you only host the men's or women's tournament once in a while, the enjoyment I get out of having the tournament at home outweighs the situation of always to make a road trip to the event. I am sure their are quite a few of the schools in the Summit that hate the way it is always in Sioux Falls. I admit it isn't to bad for NDSU. It is tough to beat having the tourney at home though.

Watched the State A girls tournament. Doesn't really look like their is any D1 talent their. Maybe their are some good ones out their that didn't make it to state . Anyone know where the talent locally is? It appears their are not near as many good girls locally as their used to be.

So we have this senior class that give it their all for 4 years to try to make the Dance and they get in a position to make it, and you have Brekke, Schuler, and Webb sitting on the bench injured and not playing. Not very fortunate.

UND recruit Geno Crandall of Minneapolis DeLaSalle is playing in the Minnesota State Championship game tonight at 6:00. He is a good one.
-
UND basketball commit Bailey Strand from Fergus Falls had 33 points last night to lead Fergus to another state tournament appearance. She should be a real good one. She can really score the ball as they say.
-
It looks like we have 5 juco's coming in. If they would all be starters that would be quite an impact. If any of the redshirts or other younger players ended up starting the team might look like quite different this year from last years team. It will be interesting.
-
The SUU broadcast team thinks North Dakota is the team to beat. Even though we laid an egg the other night, UND should come out fired up and ready to put that performance behind them.

It is still very good to get the 2nd seed out of 11 teams. As fans we should be excited but unfortunately this team just has an absolute stinker on occasion, and it just shatters our confidence in them as a team. It is the way we lose when we drop one that gets everyone upset. Never the less I am excited and we really do have just as good of chance as anyone to go to the Dance. I wonder when we play next week.
-
They could very easily not win tomorrow, but there is still a high likelihood that they will be still hosting the tournament. Unexpected and great season no matter what.
-
What are the chances both the men's and women's basketball teams are dancing this year? It isn't far fetched. It really could happen. Then just for fun the men's and women's hockey teams could win National titles too. Now that would be a nice winter sports season.
-
The state of North Dakota is doing it self proud. The UND's men and women's hockey teams could both be in their national tournaments this year. Both the men's and women's basketball teams for UND could be dancing this year. NDSU's men's basketball could be dancing too. That would be a real nice winter season for the state of North Dakota. Those scenarios might not all happen but certainly could.

We definitely don't want to leave it up to other teams, but it looks there is a really high likelihood if UND wins the next 2 games we will be hosting the tournament. Go UND. Winning on the road and winning when you HAVE to can be difficult sometime.
-
So it would appear that if UND would win the next 2 games they would probably be the number one seed no matter what happens at SUU. Is that right?
