Did you mean to quote the Miami guy? -

I think is why this team doesn't get the respect at times it might deserve. Don't run teams out of the building. Just flat out win games. And that's fine with me. -

Have you read any of his other articles? Just as bad as this one. -

He's an idiot, for sure. He's obsessed with using stats to say who's the best team. He can look at the stats all he wants, we'll take the wins and the trophies. -

Wow. Such a difference. Far superior. NOT. -

Miami loves the splits... So I'm not sure on the sudden burst of confidence among their fans. So funny. Then again, I've been to Oxford and I think they've been buying too much "stuff" on High Street. -
NORTH DAKOTA vs. St. Cloud State - SENIOR WEEKEND

I think the phrase "I wish they closed out games BETTER" would be a better statement. I personally, prefer to just take the W and move on no matter how ugly. -
Yes, that was announced after the game

Last spring when I got back to work after the Frozen Four, one of my co-workers didn't know I was in Philly and asked me if I watched the championship game and I said, "yeah, I was there." And he told me I was lucky that I didn't have to listen to those horrible announcers on ESPN.

I don't think it's just here he gets overlooked. He's overlooked on his own team. In general, I'd say we have a lot of recruits that don't get a lot of discussion on this forum. But I always figured that has to do with everyone's familiarity with certain players over others.

I don't know which fanbase I hate more.

There's an age limit. It's 20 years old. LaDue and Poolman both got drafted in their final year of eligibility.
-
They were never unranked in the Pairwise. All teams are ranked in the Pairwise. They were unranked in the USCHO and USA Today polls.
-
Technically, it's not a loss... It is a lost point or two though.
-
Given his age? Really? It's not like he's a grandpa playing in a league of 10 year olds here. He's barely 19.
-
Now I know I will be watching the game on mute!

North Dakota Hate Week should be next week. After the series.

He hasn't thought highly of UND all season. He's in the camp that we didn't belong in the NCAA tournament last year and since most of that team returned that "didn't deserve to be in the tournament" he thought we would struggle to make the tournament again. That's what I read into in seeing his preseason rankings. He's probably struggling with the fact that he as of now has been wrong about how our season has gone. -
NORTH DAKOTA FIGHTING SIOUX vs. CC - Saturday Gameday

It's not between him and Mattson. Ausmus isn't in the lineup for his speed. He's in there because he provides something different than every other D-man we have. Him and Stecher had been our best d-pair all year before Stecher got hurt. When he gets back I think they'll go back to that pairing. I think it's between Mattson and Thompson as odd man out. And that's not a knock on either. Someone has to sit. -
...that aren't defensive liabilities. Or they could just keep doing what they are doing....

Just saw this. Agree that it varies and you do have to be careful not to push yourself too hard. I haven't personally had it, but I've seen cases with athletes missing a couple weeks to a whole season. One of my cross country teammates in high school was never the same after contracting mono. (He actually got it twice in one year. Poor guy). Depending how it affects you, you could go from star athlete to depth guy when you eventually make it back.

That's a cute thought.

The voters forgot who they voted for over the long Christmas layoff...

I thought OD was good in the 2nd half last season also.

I saw them play live vs Merrimack and as soon as they went down 3-1 I said game was over. They don't have that resiliency, fight in them. They could make the tournament but until there's something in their play that signals something has changed I'm not sure they'd be all that tough of an out either. No compete, terrible defensive awareness and a goalie lacking confidence. So many problems.
