I can't go because I called in sick to work last Friday to go to the Frozen FaceOff instead. They'd get suspicious if I keep doing that... If this was a Saturday/Sunday regional I'd be there.

So I was at my cousin's wedding in St Paul last night, said a little prayer as we drove by the X on the way to the reception. Then at the reception, I was talking to my other cousin, who is a UW alumni, and I explained our predicament, and he just calmly says, "The Badgers will get it done." And this was when they were down by 2 goals in the third. So it was a happy night for both sides at this wedding.

I'm getting a kick out of SCSU's fans chirping our team on twitter for backing into the tourney. My how short their memory is...

Goaltender? I've seen Miami use 2 goaltenders all year and they were the same 2 all 4 times I saw them play.

SCSU has tailed off in the 2nd half too, and split the season series with Miami, so the results weren't so surprising to me. I like our chances against Miami as long as we don't have any huge turnovers in front of our net like this last weekend.

I live in the Twin Cities now, but I was in college when I started coming down for these games. Gotta stick with tradition. I think it's that way for a lot of people I went to college with. I remember being at the X and having someone come up to me and say, " Hey! I know you! We stood in the hockey line together!" Love that stuff. My roommate and I drove overnight to Oxford, OH in October, so yes, Sioux fans travel from all over. We thought the turnout there was light, but the Miami fans said it was the best showing of visitor fans they've ever had, so I guess it depends... We also went to Omaha and Bemidji. If we have time and money and we can get there by car, we're going!

I had a friend who lives in the Cities who stayed for the game last night so I think she's like, "11? I would've loved getting home that early!" But if you're not used to late night driving, I'm sure some weren't thrilled about a Sunday night game.

I knew that. I can only go to the night game on Friday. And that's it for the entire weekend. You'd think with selling tickets being an issue they could just sell a girl a single game ticket.

It appears that the NCHC is not selling single game tickets at this point. DO NOT LIKE. I'm trying to work in some appearances at the UND games around a wedding here...

Props to your boys on surviving the bus trip to Cloud! We made the drive from Minneapolis to Oxford in October (overnight) and it was quite a haul. So much coffee was drank.

Aside from winning tomorrow, it'd be extremely helpful if the favorites from the other leagues would win their league tournaments. A couple of the other bubble teams around us could drop out of the running next weekend with losses. That said, I really, really, really hate having to rely on other teams and back our way into the tournament.

Yeah that's what I thought too. I think some of the WBL people are hoping with the decommit that he'll have changed his mind and come back, but I don't really agree with that one.

No argument here. We've got some other guys with some good speed coming in also, so he'd help add even more in that area too. I just don't think it's that likely, but I've been wrong before. I'd have no complaints if he decided to come here.

Oh I've seen him play, but it was in high school. He just hasn't gotten as much hype as some of the other recruits we have. I was excited when he committed.

It was November 2010. Game was scoreless until they scored with barely any time left. It was close to offsides too. Then they celebrated like they won a national championship. I'll never forget the cowbells. I can still hear them ringing.

So I am really looking forward to this kid coming in next fall... I think he's really underrated among our recruits.
