I have a question regarding tie-breakers. I ran the what-if, and ended up with the Sioux in a three way 39 point tie with CC and DU. Since we split every series, how do they break the tie? Points scored head to head?

I took my family to both games in Mankato, and plan on going back next year. Students are what they are, both there and here. Older drunken fans are what they are, again both there and here. All that aside, I was part of a fun hockey atmosphere with the Mankato crowd. There was some healthy ribbing of the other team, and some good hockey conversation too. The fans I sat by were pretty cool, and fun to visit with. Much to the chagrin of many on this board, IMO they have the best goal song in college hockey. Not that the song is that great, but EVERYONE in the building participates. Hell... I was about to get into it with their 3rd Sat goal. For the record, a number of members here, including me, are FSC members and indeed do contribute a great deal of money toward athletic scholarships. That said, I think I can be entitled to be a little pissed off when he screws up in public for a second time, and has to miss a game. (mind you, a game that I'm paying his athletic scholarship to play in... as you recall, we lost 2 conference points that night) Support him all you want. That's great. I haven't given anyone crap for supporting Oshie. Above that, I'm greatful he's still on the team. But I can still be pissed about the incident. BTW, you exaggerate a bit. Lighten up, Francis.

I scored a goal that way in Pee-Wees. Even the scorer catches crap for those goals. (not as much and as bad, I'm sure)

Seeing Kozek mantioned as a top-line player, was he an injury scratch on Saturday or a healthy scratch? if it's the latter, I don't think we'll see him on the front line any time soon... if it's the former, who knows?

Since there was no time left on the clock, they should award UW a point, and strip a point from DU because it was a legitimate tie. That would be an acceptable and "right" thing to do, IMO. (a scheduled OT would be nice, but at this point isn't really practical)

I had sent in the FSC "application" for away tickets to this game, but cancelled after I saw 3rd row tickets on the Sioux end available through Ticketmaster. If anyone's at the Holiday Inn, stop and have a drink with the "airmail" family. (kids will likely be in the pool, wife will likely be on her laptop, I'll be making sense of it all with a Bud-light in hand) Since we have the kids along, BWW sounds like a great pre-game place to grab a beer and bite. I don't know, but he hasn't posted in 2008... odd for him, that's for sure. There was some heated debate in another thread, and is likely the reason he's stayed off the board for a bit. Probably good advice to all of us when some topics get a little heated, personal, etc.
