Thanks. Uploaded it this morning, and already got 3 nasty texts from SU and UM buddies. (and they say they don't spend time on our board.... )

That's a peach - but this one is one of my favorites of recent times... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0au3sixxGyg

I predict a split. UND tonight in a close one (because I won't be near a tv ) and gophs tomorrow in a not so close one. I also predict two major penalties called on UND. One legit, one not. I also predict jaw flapping by the maroon squad with no intention to back it up. I also predict DS will be officiating, and will tick off both fan bases at some point. (granted - these last predictions are like shooting fish in a barrel) God I hate gopher hockey. Crush 'em Sioux!

Nice subtle hint at where the rivalry must resume... I think you've been hanging around too many bison knuckleheads in Fargo. Aside - your posts beg the question: How long have you followed the Sioux/ Gopher hockey rivalry? It seems as if for not very long... as tnt pointed out, the rivalry is much healthier than it used to be. And if you're a gopher fan living in Fargo - please sell or give up your UND season tickets. They are tainted, and bring bad karma to the Ralph. -

I predict an 87 white vs. 07 swift final. That's gonna be a tough decision! Kudos for setting this up - pretty cool! -
If we go .500 or similar next year, I'm going to hate to see how low the level of interest in UND football gets. It'll be ugly.
-
It'll be interesting to see how the Big Sky teams fare against the other conferences - Right now, I think Montana St. and EWU have a shot, but I guess we'll see soon enough how they stack up. A Bison loss in the first round would also be cool.

Shocker. I thought the Russian gangsters were going to take Zeb's pub away from him if he made the field goal, ala "The Replacements".

GeauxSioux... I understand your point with the third down play, but I disagree at the point it was in the game. IMO, a 5yd screen (God help me...I'm calling for the bubble screen) for a first down is a higher percentage play, and helps with field position when a field goal wins the game. If we needed a touchdown to win, I guess i'd agree with the shot downfield. In this case, I guess i'll agree to disagree. I thought it was a poor call given the game circumstances. Either way, season is over... I had hoped we'd make the playoffs, and was truly expecting over .500 in the conference. Someone start the 2013 outlook thread, please.

Speechless over those last plays. Shocked and pissed.

I have no dog in this fight - but I'm cheering for the Sioux! -
It may sound callous, but we just can't stop anybody. Our defense - simply - is not good. That's not a knock on players that have given their time and represented UND to the best of their abilities - it's a statistical fact. Who knows - maybe this is the week they turn it around. Heck - I'll bet UNDER the 540.

This year I've seen underclassmen on the sidelines giggling and shooting the breeze when we're losing and time is running out. What else needs to be said?
-
On both sides of the ball, unfortunately.
-
Very telling stats, Matt. Ugly. Maybe with our lackluster offense in past years, the recruiting focus has been too much on the offensive side of the ball? Whatever it is - our defense royally sucks at this level. If you take our SD Mines cupcake out of the equation, opponents are getting about 500yds/ game total offense against us. WTF?
-
Absolutely. I like promoting from within if the person is qualified, but some new blood would be nice once in a while. If you can't teach an old dog new tricks, get a new dog for crying out loud.

If they keep clean, the charges are expunged from their record. So they could possibly become SU campus cops one day. Don't know why, but I find this comment absofrickinlutely hilarious. Prestone.

Yep, yep, yep and especially yep.

Outstanding passing attack versus a poor pass defense... hmmm. Any way we can score 70 on their defense?

Been purposely avoiding the board for a couple of days - I was just a little disappointed with the loss. Lots of info posted about the game, so I'll add a couple of pennies worth too... I too was watching Hanson limping along the sideline. I don't know if he was listed at 100% or not - sure didn't look ready. I saw maybe 3 attempts to Hardin for the long play (maybe I missed more), and he had his defenders beat. Those are touchdowns if not overthrown... that was frustrating. If Cal poly wanted 5-10 yards, just run it up the middle. We couldn't do jack. On the few passes they did attempt, they connected or probably should have connected. Our pass coverage wasn't there either - we were VERY lucky more than once. I really looked more into this game than I should have. IMO, this was a game to get some hype, and get your home town behind you. Dammit - this football program needs some support and some excitement. The way we ended - it may cause a setback in the support department from the community. Admittedly, I left the game after CP's final touchdown, and didn't see "the catch" until just now. WOW! The fake punt? I dunno - we sure gave them good field position. Just the same, if we sprint to the corner and not try to cut upfield, I think he makes it. On the other hand, IIRC, game time wasn't a huge factor at that moment, so why chance it knowing we can't stop their offense? Why not "go for it" instead?. Either way - I just don't care. Cal Poly is a talented team. But with all due respect, I think our role in losing the game had more to do with the outcome than their role in winning it. At least that's my perception as a homer. Defense? Did I mention our defense? Like someone else mentioned - maybe the 3-4 isn't what we need week in and week out. I don't know - but this is getting tough to watch - even when we're winning. Tailgating crowd seemed light - at least lighter than I expected given the beautiful day. Maybe I was drunk. Whatever.
-
Reporting from the sidelines..... our defense cant stop a runny nose.
-
No way - just get one of these...

I just deleted a post about Hanson getting the job back after I read: I just don't know what to think about this...
