We (fans) cannot see his leadership but the players speak of it so I trust them. As far as his play on the ice goes, he is a very good penalty killer, he goes after his man and disrupts him which is one of the main tenants of Sioux hockey. After he came back from his injury he really was questionable but I feel that in the last two or three weekends he has been playing very well. His line has done as good of a job as any forechecking and holding the zone. So my hat is of to our captain. It is just that his has no patients shooting and, in kind to no patients, is no accuracy. But the funny thing is that that has kind of been Sioux hockey as well in recent years.

Third group: People who believe that a vote to keep the name will force the leadership (UND Admin, SBOHE, governor and US senators) of North Dakota to "actually" get on board, get creative and get assertive in all forums and mannors to put the appropriate SH*T in the face off the NCAA until they puke up their conceit and relent their irrational oppressive position on the matter. It will happen if we have resolve and don't give up. And it will happen before we would ever be kicked out of the Big Sky, which is the only real "long term" harmfull happening that is threatening UND athletics. Don't give in to fear! Don't give up!! The fight is just starting..

To suggest that your position is in line with the preponderance of UND alumni is an embarassment to the "fact" that UND is where you received your education.

A question for anyone, I bought a traxis system from PSB a few years ago and it is all of a sudden not getting any signals on any satellite auto scan. I replaced the cable and now Im wondering if it is the LNB? is an LNB something I could buy at wallmart of radio shack. and aslo, do I need a specific kind for FTA ku band?

yet another article that omits the fact that the spirit lake Sioux are fighting this. Doesn't mention that the spirit lake Sioux have filed a federal lawsuit against the NCAA. doesn't mention that the spirit lake SIOUX are leading the petition efforts. .. oh I know all of you get rid of the name crowd think that the spirit lake Sioux involvement is not newsworthy. and the media just knowS that people don't give a crap about that and that it is not important, but it is a little interesting that this article states that they're going to give a history of everything and even included Ralph Engelstad's logo strategy. they just always forget to include how the native americans are the ones that are spearheading this fight. Show me one national article published since Full-of-it-ton's interview where he did his best Duple impersonation which states the fact that the spirit lake tribe started the petitions and that the Tribe is suing the NCAA. I believe the washington post article identified the Spirit Lake Tribe as "a group from Spirit lake" but it was a page two position near the end of the article. Just attempt to imagine, for example, that condescending article written by that woman in the Star Tribune including in it those two facts. It would make her assertions laughable, any rationall reader would be compelled to ponder the irony of it all. To suggest that these two facts do not significantly alter the tenor of these misleading articles is simply not accepting reality!

Oh, I see, the media decides what is "big deal" and what isn't huh?... Nice one! Of course in this case CNN, the AP, ESPN, the washington Post, the Star Tribune, Dan Barreiro, and every other media source outside of North Dakota did decide the name change story was a big enough deal to report on in the last couple weeks, while at the same time they decided including the facts that I mentioned above regarding spirit lakes involvement in everything WAS NOT a big enough deal to include in their stories. Hmmm?

Short of personally communicating with members of the Spirit Lake Sioux or communicating with others who have communicated with them, please tell meet how something is not "hidden" if the media doesn't report it?

How about all of the UND teams that compete in the Big Sky can remove the name so the Big Sky has no issues with those rabid protests that will surely ensue on their campuses and the hockey team can keep their name and see how long Minnesota and Wisconsin go until they miss our fans spending their money in their f&cking arenas. (see the Frozen Four last year, or the Final Five every year)... I just picked up my tickets to this weekends games in Denver. At DU, they charge $8 extra for a ticket to the SIOUX games. I wonder if Full-of=it=ton thinks this is economic unviability???

Anybody paying attention to the FACT that not one of the National or out of North Dakota media stories being written regarding the latest round in the Fighting Sioux Name fight have included in them that the Spirit Lake Tribe has sanctioned a lawsuit against the NCAA and that the same group started the petititions? No biggie, it just changes the tenor of the whole debate; I'm sure it was just an oversight in about a dozen national articles/talkshows regarding our fight; I'm sure they would have accomplished the same goal of making us look like a buck of over zealous;retarded and ignorant sports fans even with that little FACT added to their stories? huh scottM??
