In the few random minutes I was able to watch throughout the game, I saw at least 4 offensive rebounds including the one to setup the game winning three. Nice to see that improvement.

The seniors recruited for the 2012 team joined UND knowing they only had one year to make the playoffs. Next year's team will have had two chances and so on. Yes, we are out of the transition but it's going to take a few years for us to have athletes who joined UND with the chance to make the playoffs every single year. I have faith that the skill level of the team will continue to grow. UND has picked up some bigger recruits the past few years now that those athletes are able to compete for the playoffs all four years.

With redshirting this year and being a pretty good prospect you would think he would have the ability to play immediately for UND. That may be another plus that draws him here.

Am I the only one who is seeing ads at the bottom of my screen now when I'm on Siouxsports? It's pretty annoying and I for one would be willing to pay a little bit of money to help support Siouxsports.com if it would mean fewer ads. Is that an option? Have you thought about adding that?

I'll be at the game in Greeley this year. Bringing a few friends from Colorado Springs and at least one from Rapid City, SD. Should be a fun atmosphere with at least 50% Sioux fans!

I never said they would get in on DirecTv. In fact, I think it is highly doubtful they will get added. However, having an HD signal is a lot more favorable for attracting viewers than a SD signal. The one benefit to having an SD signal is that it's going to take less bandwidth.

Actually, "and crew" is still doing the games for Midco. FSSN hired out freelance videographers. Midco does the same. Most of the crew is not full time, they hire out the same people FSSN did for their broadcasts.

Mamba, Midco actually did answer your question, they just should have explained it better. There are three main types of aspect ratios in the US in broadcasting. There is Standard Definition 4x3 which is what Midco currently uses. There is 16x9 Widescreen SD which is what FSSN used. There is 16x9 widescreen HD which is what essentially all HD broadcasts are. For Midco to upgrade to the widescreen SD it would be an expensive temporary upgrade. It is a step back no doubt in the viewing are of the screen. However, it is temporary as it will be broadcast in HD next year. The quality, even on an SD channel will be greatly improved.

It is a truck production, meaning they likely run triax, meaning the camera operators have no control over white balance. It was much worse last year, as each camera would have a different white balance. Someone in the truck understands shading but it is doubtful they have a person dedicated to it during game play. That is something that is needed if you want all of the cameras to continuously be balanced and adjusted. Many, if not all, of the camera operators are the same as the FSSN broadcasts.

Wait... so you're saying they're improving things as the season goes on? No way... that's not possible. This is the same crew that is completely ignoring every criticism and is just going to put out the worst product ever.

This is the first time I've watched the FCS feed and I was expecting it to suck. But this looks better than last years feed. I'm hoping they made changes tonight and this isn't the same quality as previous games, because this feed looks as good as the gopher feed on FCS minus the fact that it is 4x3.
