  1. Does anyone know any details about when the hoop broke? Could it have happened late yesterday afternoon during the team shoot around? If it happened yesterday, it would be tough to completely remove the hoop before game time. If it happened before that, then it's inexcusable.
  2. I'll be there with 6 other people ranging from Colorado, Oregon, Rapid City and Fargo.
  3. The broadcast was pulled because of bandwidth issues. It's the same reason the SDSU/NDSU basketball game wasn't televised on DirecTV either.
  4. No doubt all NDSU games are money makers for the school and the area around the campus. However, with a significant number of UND fans in Fargo I think many of the restaurants would welcome a UND/NDSU matchup in Fargo. I'd imagine there would be a waiting list for nearly every bar/restaurant in town with the number of people who would turn out to watch. You can't pack more people in a full stadium but you can in bars and restaurants throughout town and throughout the region.
  5. Good. They'll need more people getting on board with it to help fund those extra trips. They already have a respectable budget which is why they are able to upgrade to HD and cover games along the I29 region. It will take a little more ads to be able to make the trips to Duluth, St. Cloud, and Omaha.
  6. Feel free to start advertising on Midco to help them get more funding to be able to afford to travel to road games.

  8. From reliable sources within Midco. Once basketball season is over, the HD truck that is in South Dakota will be brought up to UND for the 1st round of the playoffs. The current SD truck will then be stripped and upgraded to HD for next season.
  9. You're comparing Fox Sports, a broadcasting company that has affiliates throughout the country to a regional sports network? You clearly don't realize the budget differences between the two companies for both equipment and talent. UND hockey is great in our minds but for someone outside of Grand Forks, how appealing is doing UND games? Face it, Grand Forks is a big step down compared to Minneapolis when it comes to sports broadcasting. You're comparing 3 full time employees to a company with dozens. You say Midco should use Fox Sports North as an example of how to do a production, but who is giving them the time to get anywhere close to that level. Most people here are very quick to just say pull the plug but I guarantee that the production quality has increased since that first game this year. The crew is only going to get better. Plus, people will get their chance to see Midco's HD feed during the first round of the WCHA playoffs.
  10. And who called you cute? He was talking about your actions, not you.
  11. For NDSU during the last 10 years of the series: 28-21 12-6 19-7 13-16 13-10 39-25 10-31 33-19 21-7 34-13 For UM up to when they announced they wouldn't play UND: 4-1 2-3 4-1 2-4 6-0 1-5 3-3 3-3 4-0 6-1 6-3 1-1 2-1 3-4 4-2 3-2 2-3 7-3 5-3 I doubt it's a coincidence that neither team wants to play UND after both NDSU football and UM hockey didn't perform as well as expected.
  12. Yup, UND screwed over the possibility of playing NDSU by accepting a conference bid instead of waiting for an invite that may never have come. By that reasoning, NDSU ruined the rivalry by not waiting for UND to go d1 so they could both be in the Great West. How dare NDSU accept that MVFC bid and ruin the rivalry!!!
  13. Ok, so please show me where they list the tickets sold number. Until I see one I guess you expect me to believe that every ticket is sold? I can claim UND sold every ticket to all home football games but it wasn't full because attendance just didn't quite match up.
  14. You keep saying NDSU sells out every game but the attendance figures say otherwise. Any proof these games are actual sellouts?
  15. No fans can not contact potential recruits. As a fan, you are considered a booster for your school. Contact with a potential recruit is an NCAA violation. Once they sign an LOI, then you can talk to them, I believe. Similar to how coaches can't publicly talk about a kid until they sign.
  16. He also tweeted this right before that... "If only I was in AZ this weekend it would be dope great start but now I got to go do this crap man "Hatetherecruitingprocess" That seems like bad news for Brookings and good news for someone else (hopefully us!) Edit: The kid seems pretty honest/open on twitter. I feel pretty confident that he will end up at UND.
  17. I see your point, but the main use by schools for the dynamic pricing is the ones that are rivals. Those games that will pretty much sell out regardless of how good each team actually is. Similar to what was said above, homecoming, UNI and SDSU are really the only games that meet that criteria for NDSU. Hosting a Montana, MSU or UND would be another opportunity to increase those prices for an "important" game even if NDSU win 60-3.
  18. How much does NDSU make now on a non-conference home game? How much do they pay to bring in a Prairie View A&M, or a Wagner? How many season ticket holders does NDSU have? Let's get some real numbers in here and do the actual math.
  19. Unless if that Western Carolina game had never been scheduled because NDSU didn't need it because they were already playing UND.
  20. I think what is sometimes lost in the recruiting is that these kids are still students. While much of their time will be spent on school and football, they may want a chance to enjoy just living that college lifestyle. At UND, that often means going to hockey games. This goes back to that discussion some of us had earlier about bringing the kids to a hockey game. Here's an example of one recruit who really enjoyed the game. I'm hoping there are a lot more who see what kind of support the city of GF and UND can offer if they put a winning team on the field/ice.
  21. From Sam Riddle: "They took me to a hockey game and it was sweet, I had never been to a hockey game before. “
  22. Also talks about his teammate Jesse Bobbit who we offered as safety.
  23. And now a second one!
  24. Whine all you want about the quality of the Midco feed but don't make things up. Midco controls the red light that tells the officials when they are back from commercial. That light doesn't go off and play doesn't resume unless Midco is ready.
  25. Tied at 27 at the under 4. Montana with a free throw after the break.
