Just like I said after last week's games. Mario goes out there and acts/chirps/gives little cheap shots like he's a tough guy, and like I said, he can't back it up physically. Put Davidson in there.

This isn't a season where we need to grow our newcomers to the team. This is a season where we have all the key ingredients to win a title, so if it means sitting a guy like Forbort, so be it. I'm not implying that I agree that Forbort has or hasn't struggled, I'm just pointing out what I feel when it comes to benching someone like Forbort or Nelson.

I wonder how many loonies the tickets will cost.

Jim, I also heard recently that any team with an RPI above .500(?) is considered a TUC now when calculating your winning percentage against TUC teams for individual comparisons. There are still only 25 teams that are on the PWR rankings, but, like mentioned above, any team with the RPI above .500 counts towards your TUC win percentage. Maybe you can confirm that.

I thought Minnesota was Brown..? $hit brown and p!ss yellow, right?

Me and a few buddies went to a casino in Green Bay once. THEY thought it'd be funny to all wear Sioux jerseys at "Oneida Bingo & Casino", so that we did...even though my buddies didn't like Sioux hockey, much less any hockey. We go walking into the casino donning three different sweaters and immediately start getting looks. All of a sudden this group of four or five comes up to us and one guy was like, "hey, I love UND...I grew up in North Dakota! What are you guys doing in Green Bay?" We decided to have a little fun with a few people who were all tanked and we politely told him that we were on our way to our next game in New York against Cornell (it was the week before that series). This guy was like, "THAT IS AWESOME....guys check this out, these guys play for the Sioux, they will play in the NHL one day!" So his friends (a couple ladies and their spouses) were like, that's awesome. They wanted pictures with us and our autographs, so we kindly obliged, all while trying to hold back our inner laughter. After that charade, we started getting employees coming up to us and a few other random folks. We couldn't stop laughing pretty much the entire night.

UND hasn't had many sweeps at home this year. I'm seeing another split.

I know I'll get ripped a new one for this one (again), but I'll throw this out there anyways. Mario Lamoureux should not see as much ice time as he does...ESPECIALLY with a guy like Brent Davidson getting scratched regularly. In my opinion, Lamoureux does virtually nothing offensively and while his defensive approach is worthy of applause, I don't agree with the demeanor he goes about doing it. He plays overly aggressive and takes stupid penalties when he shouldn't. He tries too hard to be the tough guy on the ice when I don't think he can back it up physically. In the end, Mario is a great PK guy, but not much more. Brent, on the other hand, is just as physical if not moreso, bigger, practices just as hard, plays smarter, and has generated some great scoring chances in the limited time he's been on the ice while still being rock-solid defensively (which is his role...like Mario). Imagine if he played regularly and could generate some chemistry with a line. There's a reason why the Genoway family told Hak & Co. that he needs to be a Fighting Sioux. Mario is a -3 in WCHA play while Davidson is a +2 in limited time. Just my $.02.

It would be worn underneath, just for added precautions.

From what I hear on TV, when I hear Spongebob music, or that stupid frog music or whatever it's called, I cringe. Keep those childish tunes away from the rink.

We have Blood, now bring in the Butcher.

Where in Wisconsin are you at?

If I was still at UND, I'd most definitely put together the latest list, but unfortunately I don't get the opportunity to know what it is. I still listen to the playlist from a few years ago regularly.

If they think this will make college kids safer, ha. If it was me and my buddies in college and this law was already enacted, we would get twice as drunk before-hand to hold us over for the whole game (plus sneaking more booze in...not like it's hard). Instead, we'd get moderately toasty, go have a pre-game big Fat Tire, and call it good for the rest of the game. So, what option is better? Getting more drunk before hand and sneaking in liquor anyways (which makes things even worse because liquor, of course, gets you drunk faster)? Or, keeping things the way they are where very few problems occur the way it is?

I wish I could be there to bid on the Duncan. Too bad it's autographed though...I hate auto'd jerseys.

I think the Sioux literally broke Kangas a couple years ago when we crushed him at The Ralph. He's never been the same since.

Frats is closing the gap on the leading candidates (looking at Camper specifically), especially if hs goal pace continues. He'll need some helpers on other goals just to pad is point amount, but the dude can seriously score. I think if Matt can get to the 45 point mark, and then have nearly 30 goals in the process, he will be a top candidate for sure. The problem is, Matt's assist count is relatively low for some of the top point getters out there.

Would definitely go just to check out the medals if I was in town. I always thought the HHH commercial was creepy when I heard it on the radio a couple years ago, though.
-
I love when the Gophs come to town...the freshman get to see the pinnacle of what it means to be a Sioux hockey player. The Ralph is rocking, the adrenaline is pumping, and hopefully the beatdown follows.

Robert Morris isn't in CHA anymore.

Here is another example of a shirt being called a "Mascot Tee". This Florida State Seminoles shirt is an "adidas Florida State Seminoles Super Soft Vintage Mascot T-Shirt", and it doesn't even have any person/animal reference, just their "FS" logo. All it is, and it's the same story with the Sioux one, is a name for the model of the shirt. http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4016877 Also, the debate over the term mascot that has occurred on and off over the last couple years on here should be settled by the definition. The definition of the term "mascot" is: an animal, person, or thing adopted by a group as its representative symbol and supposed to bring good luck. -Random House Dictionary, found on dictionary.com A logo, as seen on the shirt, is a "thing", as described in the definition, and easily fits in line with the term "mascot".

I just watched NHL Overtime on Versus, and one guy on their ripped Zajac's play pretty bad...on the defensive side. He basically said he's sucked. I peeked at the team's +/-, and Zajac is at a sub-par -9, but that is FAR from worst on the team. Other forwards like Kovalchuk are as bad as -30. Sounded pretty unfair, especially considering that Zajac seemed to be a guy who earned his way into the lineup each night for not only a solid offensive game, but a good defensive game as well. It has to be hard to put in your full effort nightly at this point if you are a New Jersey Devil. They've, as a team, been brutal (injuries aside).

I'm 99% sure that's the name of the shirt style from the company. Just like this shirt isn't literally a "Shootout", although that's the model name of this shirt from Reebok: They likely mass produce generic logo'd shirts for a ton of universities depicting the primary logo.
