Drew Stafford notched his 11th, 12th, and 13th goals of the season last night for his second hat trick in 8 games. His 13 goals have come in only 23 games so far this season. He is 2nd on the team in goals, behind Thomas Vanek's 14...Thomas playing in 15 more games than Drew. It's nice to see him light the lamp like he has this season. The guy always seemed to be able to have that huge scoring ability, but almost seemed to sleepwalk through portions of the season. Hopefully he can sustain it. Oh, and Goon, both of Stafford's hat tricks came against Boston this year.

I meant what I said as more of a credit to Dell than a knock on Eidsness. I defended Eidsness a lot during the last couple years when people were ragging on him despite being a solid goaltender. He is not the same goaltender this year, though...period. Yes, he may be able to jump right back in the mix and rotate with Dell frequently, but I just don't see it. Dell's best game is better than Eidsness' best game.
-
How many more starts does Eidsness see if Dell doesn't get kidnapped/lost/stolen/hurt/blind or completely blow up? I can't see more than just a couple at this rate, and I'm OK with that, because Dell has been a stud and I think the team along with most of us trust his play a lot more than Eidsness, even when Eidsness was winning a MacNaughton and a Broadmoor.

Google. It isn't easy sometimes though.

That's not a schedule of anyone's (that I'm aware of)...just a list of bottom-feeders (minus Vermont) that he listed as tongue-in-cheek opponents we could schedule.

That Maine series is going to be a big thorn in our butts to try and maintain a #1 seed. Top Hockey East teams like BC and UNH are going to continue to hold the Common Opponents point against us because of it. If we maintain a good RPI, that gives us a point over each of them, but like Jim said, the TUC percentage will be the deciding factor against both teams. UND must play at a high level against all TUC's from here on in. If so, we'll be a #1 seed. If we slip up, we'll be a #2 seed at best.

808287 is right. RM swept Miami last year IIRC.

Dalut will be donning new jerseys to go along with their fancy oil refinery.
-
A place like RPI actually makes sense to an extent for a guy like Zach. If he's 3/4 the player his brother was, he will light it up there. This could potentially raise draft stock if he knows he needs some help. Also, he ends up out East where a lot of scouts are. If he goes to the WCHA, he's going to be limited based on the toughness of the league and the way the game is played in this region. Or, maybe he just doesn't have the skill level necessary to garner offers from bigger schools...not enough to persuade him to stay out west anyways. Just thinking out loud...
-
Hey Jim, better be careful, you'll get ripped on for talking about Pairwise too early. Good stuff, like always.
-
I'm going to say mild concussion on that one...but that would be his second. Just a guess. He didn't seem like he aggravated a specific body part, but did seem like he got the cobwebs knocked around a bit while on the bench.

It matters because I have high-resolution versions of each old logo, but want to know if it is a good cause behind the reason for wanting them.

Hawks are starting to roll lately now that they have some goaltending help. Crawford has been solid in goal (even though he was scratched due to an illness tonight)...very Niemi like, nothing stellar, just solid. Turco has been somewhat of a bust, but if he can find a rhythm, the Hawks will contend come playoff time again. The young guys are starting to find a groove, which is a big plus.
-
What would the logos be used for?
-
In a tournament format that's one and done, anyone can lose to anyone on a given night. The Sioux would rarely lose a series to a team like Yale, but they are a good team and can win against the Sioux again in the current playoff format.

Anyone know if the Fargo Scheel's is still selling the authentics for $200? I got 2 out of the 3 Reebok's for Christmas, now just need to pick up the last one. Also, debating on a Matt Greene game-worn NHL jersey for a nice price...oh the dilemma.

Awesome. I'm trying to become a good bowler myself. I've obviously bowled before, but took my first steps into getting serious about it this fall. For a relative newbie to the bowling scene, I'll take my mid-upper 170 average. My goals for this year (which are steep, but doable) are to finish with a 185 average and to get a 700 series.

I don't know if TEO can answer this or not, but maybe Hudson would consider St. Cloud State over UM.

Merry Christmas! GO SIOUX!

If you compare the numbers with each other's peers around the country, Frattin would no doubt be the MVP on the team. It just goes beyond the numbers for me. Without Frattin, we'd certainly have a worse record, but there are still some guys who can put the puck in the net. Without Dell, we have a VERY shaky Eidsness in net instead. Brad accomplished some nice things the last couple years, but it's not hard to see he hasn't been a good goaltender through the first half of the season, so to have Dell come in and be the foundation of a good defense since, I think earns my MVP vote.
-
Frattin has no doubt been the most important asset to our team from an offensive standpoint. But, the goaltending we got from Dell was, in my opinion, the most valuable part of the team's success for much of the first half the season. There were a bunch of games that, without Dell, Frattin's goals wouldn't have meant as much. Yes, the scoring pace he is on is phenominal and rarely seen in college hockey, much less the WCHA, but my vote went beyond the numbers. I don't know why you are so upset about it...?
-
I also voted for Dell, because without him, many of Frattin's goals are meaningless. Not trying to take away from Matt, but Dell was most valuable with the way Eidsness was playing.

Right now I'm in the process of creating a logo to go with this theme from scratch. It is based on Thor, the god of thunder...although it's a very time-consuming process, so it will be a few days at least to punch it out. I also have ideas for a secondary logo based on Thor's hammer that would be great as a shoulder patch on a hockey jersey.
