I'd put Kristo tops on my list. It's not because he's tearing the place up, but because it's the exact opposite. As good as he's been, from the first game I saw him, he seeemed like not your typical North Dakota player. I'm not saying he's ready to move on, nor should he move on, but it's something I have felt through a lot of this season. I hope he stays all four years, because he's a heck of a player when he's getting the bounces. I think Gregoire stays all four. I think he's sold on the team commitment and knows the pros will be there when he's done. I think he has a lot left to prove and next year, after a summer of packing on the meat, he could become a beast like Frattin. Remember, Frattin was good, but was never consistent at lighting the lamp until this year, a lot like Gregoire at the moment. Blood has a chance, but he seems like a guy who wants to be at school, but having never met the guy, I can't say anything for sure. MacWilliam will most definitely be here next year, but can't say that he'll be there after that. Eidsness may move on if his playing time remains limited, like others have mentioned. The only guys I'm confident won't be here next year are Genoway, Frattin, Malone, Trupp, LaPoint, Marto, and Davidson...but I hope they all stay. I'd like to see Nelson start picking up his point production. You can tell he's a good one, but Rodwell has outplayed him substantially to this point, and no one would have guessed that. An NHL first round forward pick typically needs little time to start finding a groove. I'm not saying he needs to be a world beater, but 1 goal and 4 assists is a bit disappointing. I was kind of hoping for a 5 goal, 6-7 assist type first half of the year, and finishing around 25 points. Guys like Kristo and Gregoire weren't drafted as high and both put up more than 25 points their rookie campaigns. I know draft status isn't everything, and everyone is different, but I think it's time for him to take it up a notch. He did come straight out of high school, which is a big difference, but I think there is a lot to see with him yet.

Why is it so shocking? Who knows what kind of offers he is getting? Who knows what school's they're from? Who says that just because he may be a recruited walk-on doesn't mean he can't receive scholarship money in following seasons? It isn't that rare of an occurrence even if it isn't typical.

I think Kristo needs to be a bit more patient with his shot. He seems to be forcing the situation a bit. If you watch Frattin, he picks and chooses his spots, and makes them count, so if Kristo took a page out of that book, I think you'd see him be more successful. It seems like every time he gets the puck he's just trying in any way possible to throw a puck on net and just hope. If you score a goal that way, it's more lucky than good...but we all know he has the skill to be a sniper based on what he did last year. We've yet to see a lot of our skillful players get all the cylinders going. When they do, and if our defense and goaltending remains as consistent as it has been...watch out. Dell's our guy now. Eidsness won't be forgotten, and is definitely capable of being a good goaltender, but it's Dell's team for now, and I have no problems or worries with that. He's gotten better each weekend it seems.

I think Jason plays more responsible defense and can play in any situation. Drew had much better offensive upside and was a bigger body.

Demers is probably being talked to as a recruited walk-on, but I doubt he'd see any money his freshman year.

And that one loss was a heartbreaker. Can't believe a team of that calibre came up just an ounce short.

There is no evidence and I'm not implying that there is. I'm just saying, if they take the colors with the name, there will be hell to pay.

To be honest, I love sharing artwork, but that is one thing I'd like to keep personal. I had to invidually create each jersey shown just to put it together. If you'd like something unique, send me a pm.

How 'bout: Kama Siouxtra's?

I don't like buying forest green Sioux stuff. It isn't our color. I don't buy Packers stuff with kelly green and "vegas" gold. Dark Green is not a UND color...nor should it never be. (You would never see someone in Madison wearing Dark Red, or anyone in the Twin Cities wearing bright Red).

Well, as well as they played there are still things to work on. 1) The won 6-2, but only tied in match play. They won the first period, tied the second period, and lost the third period. I think they need to strive to win each period. If you do that, you can't lose. 2) Time to fix the powerplay. Not having Gregoire and Hextall is definitely a downer. Mario finally converted on one at the end. I'm not sure what they can do to fix it, but I'd like to see their conversion rate go up. 3) I couldn't be happier with Dell, but if he can erase that one soft goal over the course of an entire weekend, then I think he'd be a championship-calibre goalie.

There wasn't much we could do about the left-wing PC agenda to change the nickname...but if they take our colors, there WILL be hell to pay.

The thing is, WCHA officials are a rare breed who let a lot of physical play go. You can never get away with half the stuff in the NCAA Tournament because the Sioux will never have a WCHA officiating crew.

Not gonna lie...BC is making BU look like a high school team. I'm not sure the Sioux can win consistently against their insane speed. The score is only 4-2 over BU, opposed to 5-0, but wow.

It's Cinco de Mayo in December!

I hope he gets a Hat Trick for ya...You'll run out of feet.

Davidson! Someone's eating crow tonight

This is ridiculous. I see quadruple overtime in the making too. WTF WTF WTF WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like listening to TH, but I'd rather watch (even if I have to listen to lousy Sweeney).

And the worst part is it's tied! "Save me Jebus!"

They better stop this high school football program for Sioux hockey...all I gotta say.

He sure is playing the point on the PP. In fact, he gets at least an equal amount of time at the point as Frattin. I find it strangely familiar to Jordan Schroeder and his sophomore "slump". Is it coincidence that they are really good friends...?

Blu-ray players have become relatively inexpensive compared to what they've been. But, if you are willing to spend just a touch more money, I'd get a PlayStation 3 for a blu-ray player, even if I wouldn't game on it. They are actually one of the best blu-ray players on the market, and if you connect it to the internet, it will continue to remain updated through Sony's software updates. Beyond that, it also plays DVD's, CD's, data discs...it can be used as a mp3 player, internet browser, video player, picture viewer, all of which you can save directly to the console itself, so you never have to keep putting in the same discs over and over.

It likely would have been reviewed upon the first stoppage of play. However, UND scored a legitimate goal before the first possible whistle, therefore there was no need to review. Either they counted Cichy's goal and the following goal would have been waved off, or vice versa. The refs weren't at fault for that one.

Like DS said, it all depends on a couple factors: A) Is it being broadcast live in HD? B) Was it filmed in HD? (most local programming, older shows, and some smaller channels still film in standard definition...so even if you watch the program on a channel labeled as "HD", it will only be of SD quality) Also, on a side note (someone may have mentioned this already), but HDTV shows are only broadcast in 720p...not true HD which is 1080p. It's still better than SD, but not quite what your TV is capable of if you have a 1080p TV. A blu-ray movie is 1080p, so if you watch one of them, it should be higher quality than even HD television. Also, ScottM, it doesn't matter which plasma TV you buy when it comes to plasma and glare. They all have glass screens, meaning they also produce glare. I think the main difference in a premium brand vs. a lower brand is the quality of the bulb. A lot of TV's probably share all the same components internally, but the bulb difference is the main part. That difference being how long they typically last...or so I've read. A little research might be in order.

What's funny is Chay Genoway plays defense for the Sioux like a typical B*ston C*llege forward. Fast and aggressive with a scoring mentality, but can still play defense. I don't know why people are so anti-Genoway forward. He hasn't played great defense this year, and his offensive numbers haven't been spectacular by any means. Why not give him a chance to go to town with the puck down low. He's great at finding open areas and getting shots off quick and accurate. Imagine these five guys on the ice at the same time: Knight centering Frattin and Genoway with Forbort and Blood on the blue line. That's a great combo of three scorers (who all do it in their own way, and can play defense), along with two defensemen who can move the puck and play pretty good defense. Everyone knows how good Chay can maneuver through opponents to get the puck up ice. However, he always ends up running out of space eventually, even if he beats a couple guys. Now, put him at a forward position. Picture Forbort making a good outlet pass, and then Chay only has a guy or two (which he does regularly anyways), and getting off a higher quality shot than we would have. Also, Chay can stay aggressive and his turnovers are less costly because there are always two guys (the defensemen) to back him up. We have the depth at defense to do it, so why not take Genoway and showcase his scoring abilities even more by getting him more opportunities with the puck. And yes, I know it will never happen, so you don't have to tell me.
