absolutely....I agree that was a very questionable penalty against Finley. He really should have just let the play go but a lot of people on this forum have been riding him for not being physical so i find it hard to fault him on that one. At that point in the game there was no reason for that check though....it was away from the play.

We were outplayed....that is the reality of it. MSU right now is employing a trapping defensive system...but that is not how the Sioux play. That is keeping them in the game

Blackhawks although an original six are a laughing stock.......they suck and Johnny should see the light and stay at UND.....besides they already signed Skille and that should be more than enough

We got killed on faceoffs in this game.....and that ultimately led to our demise...It was the exact opposite of the Gopher game in the west regional. When you are chasing the puck you are going to fatigue.

Zajac has really had a great rookie season. Looks like he will be an NHL regular for years to come.

He did not practice well enough to earn a regular spot in the line up. If he can get over the injury issues hopefully next year he will come back stronger and we can see what he is capable of.

I agree Lee was solid this weekend. Nothing flashy but played well. He and Chorney play well together. I think it will be a huge advantage this year against BC having an extra year of experience for our d corps.

If that would have cost us the game Radke should have walked home. There was no need for that, all he was looking at was the back of EJs jersey. It should have just been 2 mins but you have to show some discipline at that point of the game.

Yeah, I was hoping the same thing. Although I think SCSU may lose to Maine today. However it would have been a much easier road than where we are.

I saw it and I didn't really think it was out of line. He basically said that the fans just think that the top programs should steamroll their way past the underdogs every year and that they don't give enough credit to some of the lesser known teams who in many cases are pretty good and hungry for an upset. As much as I dislike tDon I did not see anything wrong with his comments.

They've probably been knocked out in fights.

His numbers will drop when he is not on a line with Toews and Oshie next year. Playing with those two has certainly helped his numbers. However Duncan is an excellent player himself and has the most accurate shot on the team. I think Oshie is 50/50 to stay and Toews is as good as gone. Duncan will be back.

You have to say though that Lemaire knows what he is doing. He is a hard nosed coach who demands results. Not a bad thing.

I think Radke sits.....looks like Forney has seen the last ice time of the year, barring injuries. Too bad, hopefully this season drives him to come back and be a regular next year.

LaPerriere is a pretty seasoned fighter. It seemed like Greene was being more defensive and trying to avoid a big haymaker than going on the offensive. That being said he deserves credit for standing up for his teammate. He held his own, neither player got much of a shot in.

I saw the Greene fight against Laperriere on hockey fights .com. Neither side had any real good blows. They were tied up pretty good and never really got going before the refs jumped in. Not really much of a fight. Laperriere leveled a Oilers player and Greene jumped in and challenged him.

You could question whether Vande Velde was ready either but he played a year in the USHL. I expected he would have more of an impact as well. He seems to be playing better but just cannot get on the score sheet. He was an offensive force at Moorhead so his lack of a goal to this point surprises me.

he is not even cracking the line up anymore. So he must be not practicing that well either. Too bad I expected he would have at least somewhat of an impact. I think our best freshman has been Chay Genoway.

I don't see Chorney going anywhere. You really have to be dominant to make the jump after your sophmore year. He is good, not dominant.
