  1. I agree 100% with what Dagies has said. Let's face it, it was great to take care of business and get the 4 points out of the Wisconsin series, but Wisconsin is a BAD team. That being said Denver is a tough first round opponent and will prove to be a good test for the Sioux to see if they are playoff ready and can put some of the disappointment of the past month+ to rest. Unfortunately, I think the loss of David Hale is going to become even more apparent in the post-season where the games are tight and goals are harder to come by.
  2. That would be a good accomplishment for Notermann. He is a guy that all current Sioux hockey players can look up to his work ethic. He is not the most talented player but he always gives 110% on every shift and his hustle and strong defensive play provide a good example for the younger players on what it takes to be a complete hockey player. Hopefully the leadership of Notermann and Spiewak can help guide the team the rest of the season and especially in the post-season because those two guys have witnessed and been a contributor on a championship team!
  3. I would be very surprised if Hale played this weekend. Hopefully he can rest up and be ready for the Denver series. Besides playing Tech at home, there should be no reason not to gain 4 pts. even with Marvin in there. It will be important to have the Schneider/Hale tandem back playing together for the Denver series. That will be an important road test to get some points out there and help erase some of the CC disappointment.
  4. I would have to take Brandt. He has a tendency to give up some soft goals and juicy rebounds but lately he has picked it up a bit. He seems to give the team the best chance to win. I had high hopes for Siembida when he came in mid-season last year and played well. He has not shown the consistency needed in goal when he has played this year and other teams know he drops down too fast and they roof the puck on him. Rafranz has done Ok when he has gotten a chance. It is hard to know what he is capable of because he has not received the playing time.
