every game offiating is quesionable. I do not remember that in past years.
-
At least they are bad calls both ways.
-
-
giving up offensive rebounds, not hustling to loose balls, 3 point game.
-
They have some studs this will go down to the wire as usual.
-
Geez are there any referee crews that don't suck in this conference - terrible call on Avants.
-
Shanks seems like a good kid but damn he is more of a liability than an asset. Geno sits - he gets too many charging calls.

UND (7-3, 12-8) vs UNC (4-6, 8-13) 2/4 2 PM

I know it sounds paranoid but against Northern Arizona they call the flagrant again Gino which changes the game but no call when Quinten gets crushed at the end against Northern Colorado. The quality of officiating in this league is so inconsistent. It seems like they are not improving as the year progresses. -
Because of politics - the selection committee is going to put the #6 team from a top tier conference over the #2 in a mid major every time. Their reasoning - strength of schedule and...follow the money.
-
No doubt one of the major reasons we had fewer long runs (So long Santiago) was the Oline wasn't as effective. Hope they remember that during off season workouts.

Okay so we are giving up a bit of online access - albeit sometimes the production quality is lacking, which I being a remote fan have enjoyed especially being able to watch both basketball games at the same time. I realize that most fans will never go on a road trip. However I am looking forward to the option to drive a few hours to see games live and enjoy the experience, especially football and the basketball tourny (which is quite a step above of watching games on my computer). Tip: If you don't have ESPN and thus don't have access to ESPN3 you can find a family/friend anywhere in the US who does....you can figure out the rest (or PM if you need more info).

So you don't think thus change will hane any impact on road tripping? Obviosly not thousands but at least it is now driveable.

UND (7-2, 12-7) @ NAU (2-6, 5-16) 1/28 3 PM

Tough one to lose but in the big picture it is the next two games that set the stage for the tournament. If they meet again in Reno UND does not lose to these guys. -
The alternative fact as to why this tournament is being discontinued.
-
We are not much into "toe to toe" victories in our area.

To paraphrase the Trumpster "Only the trolls care" about the location of the Nickle. I absolutely guarantee the Nickle Trophy as it exists now will not be a part of the new rivalry. I'm also pretty sure the only way the Nickle leaves UND is if someone at the state historical society or within the state goverment makes a request for it to be donated to them. Then SU can send their homecoming royalty to Bismarck to try and recover it - since no one in this generation of SU students has seen it in person.
-
This team has a pretty good road record - Reno is like playing on Mars as far as crowd noise.
-
Well of course that is the reality of it - would also need to have the win/loss listings by year right next to it.

UND (6-2, 11-7) @ SUU (2-5, 4-16) 1/26 7:30 PM

Their announcers said it was SUU's best game of the year - yes they are bottom of the league but upsets happen and it's these types of games we need to win to make a run at the conference championship. 2015-16: Weber State had 3 losses in conference 2014-15: Montana had 4 conference losses 2013-14: Weber State had 6 conference losses -
No way the PCers in charge at either school would allow the original nickle to be resurrected. Plus you can bet there would be "outrage" and peace walks against it. They can certainly create another nickle with an eagle on one side and a thundering turd on the other. But I suppose even that might hurt someone's feelings. I think they should come up with something but display the nickle at the state museum in Bismarck...Sioux side out.

When a 49-% free throw shooter hits three in a row at under a minute and your captain hits the game winner with .01.. Well that is just good coaching (sarcasm - coaches put players in position to win games - when players make the plays they win). -
Actually history has shown that a team in the MVFC can have a losing record and still be ranked and in consideration for playoff.
-
Watching some of the basketball games on Eversport (that is the one thing I will miss) there are plenty of "have nots" with small fan bases in the conference. The name has some glitter but the reality is it's a lower level mid-level.
-
I'm hoping that this energizes some of the fan base to make road trips especially in football. There used to be a nice contingency at most of the NCC games, nothing compared to hockey but at least it's a possibility now with 400 mile road trips vs 2,000 mile road trips (round trip). Plus the basketball tournament in Sioux Falls is much more doable for an average fan than Reno. I will enjoy a game against Western Ilinois as much as one againt Southern Utah.

They did not think we had any other options we proved them wrong. What is the online broadcast viewing opportunities for Summit and MV?
