I've heard fans in other arena do the same thing - they shout "Huskies" at the same place in the song in St. Cloud for example and this is one of the most wacko campuses in the Midwest (they voted a guy in as homecoming queen then a few years later they outright cancelled homecoming permanently because it just encouraged drinking).

I think we should also note how much the rebounding has improved over a few years ago - rebounding is about effort and desire. Related but not related - watched the women's game at Weber on Eversoirt - I bet there wasn't 30 people in the stands. They had to keep shooting the same small group during the game. I know out women's team sees they get great support when they hit the road.

Yes they always have a big series but they could show some interest. They are held to a different standard.

So many variables... Will Geno be a stud or a dud? (love his enthusiasm and skills but some games...) Will Dirk show he's top tier in the conference? Avants will be Avants - that's a good thing. Can Carson avoid the mystery fouls he seems to get every game and remember his only sure shot is a dunk. Need Quint to be our floor leader and get his numbers. We have the talent and game plan - giving up offensive rebounds, missing free throws, turnovers that is what brings us down - all those are within our control.

Love Avants game but unfortunately he is not in a position to "take over" a game. But he's money when he gets the ball down low. Shanks needs to focus on rebounding and dunks - that's all. It worked for Phil Jackson centers in Chicago. I can't believe how many two-foot shots he's had rim out.

How does Shanks get the ball in this situation?

Gotta say that the Frozen Faceoff appears to be a non-priority for the team. In most years they have no reason to win it and other teams have to win it or go home for the season. It is a great gathering of Sioux fans but if I have to make choices on how I spend my money and time this is getting lower on the list.

Why is the football team a non factor behind the basket, did Betty staff shut down their antics?

I don't think you can say that just because someone predicts a split that the entire fan base has set a low ceiling for this team. If we play our game we should win both of these games. Is Bernstine out for this week? That would be impactful - not an excuse but definitely a key player. And this is not a push back on whether or not we need a coaching change. But every comment doesn't need to be flipped into a pro/con on the issue.

Based on the reason they were let go why would we want the former gophers on campus? I don't see them fitting into Bubba's philosophy on integrity and character. However, I do believe in second chances and I guess that's up to the staff to decide.

Hate feeding the trolls but ...the reason the teams "were down" is because they lost games and UND won theirs. UNI was not a quality win in 2016 for example. A nine game winning streak says something but haters are always haters.

Or just change it all together and let every athlete play 5 years and do away with redshirting - most students aren't graduating in four years anymore anyway.
