I think the majority opinion here is that there are plenty of reasons a kid chooses a school and plenty of reasons a school might not be interested in a kid. The opinions that "we didn't want him, he wasn't good enough, they offered more, etc" are much more rampant in the "ville".

A Juco - guess that "we want them 4 years" policy is only applied when they don't get them.

I'm not one to think that refs would intentionally throw a game but 35 - 9 is totally indefensible - so if conspiracy is out then it's just plain incompetence.

Obviously he could have had his choice of where to transfer to so i think we can assume that the conversations between him and our coaching staff went pretty well and both sides are comfortable with what his role could be. Perhaps there were other issues that also came into play - course of study, a little closer to home, the ability to focus on more than just football.

Enjoying a season and seeing it from the positive perspective has nothing to do with complacency.

Nice that they didn't have to deal with a homecourt advantage - not that it would have mattered.

You can go negative if that is your preference. This was a great season. We went undefeated in conference play making us co-champs - any conjecture about a match up with Eastern Washington is just that because you have to play the game. Richmond was a disappointment it happens. Celebrate the season, the players, the effort and the coaches - Dang we went 9-2 in the season and some can still find something to bitch about?

Well for one thing it does nothing to help North Dakota as far as income for hotels, restaurants, etc. Sure it's Fargo not Grand Forks but at least it's in North Dakota.

Is not renewing a contract the same as firing? If a change in coaching does happen I'm hoping that doesn't necessarily mean we lose a bunch of players. If they have bought into the school, their education, the program - then they realize that UND will bring in a quality coach and that coach will reach out to them immediately.
