Yup - just like parenting you can't take all the credit and you can't take all the blame with your kids. Amazing how when a team makes free throws in crucial sitatuations, rebounds, buries shots - they win. There are also your assistant coaches that are bringing skills and coaching to the table. This was a fantastic season - coach doesn't get all the credit and there were some very bad losses - coaches doesn't get all the blame. It all came together this year and the talent pool is looking solid for the future.

I said at the beginning a thread entitled "Fire Coach's name" is a bad reflection on the fan base and hurts recruiting, to no avail. It's fine for those who need to criticize to have an outlet but it could have a name that is less hateful.

That's my take on the Frozen Face-Off it only matters to the teams fighting for a spot, those that are a lock play with much less intensity - although that is tougher to do in hockey than other sports. With UND fighting for a higher see perhaps they go in with some intensity. I've gone three years in a row and know I haven't seen many UND wins.

One more year in the Big Sky and our super sophomores will be Jammin Juniors.

Except history has shown then every thread gets these comments.

Wow officials are swaying this one.

Q is our rock but this team needs Geno to keep on keeping on.

Compared to past years this team makes free throws consistently, rebounds, is aggressive on defense and can hit clutch threes. Anyone remember a few years ago when rebounding and free throw shooting was atrocious? We lost many games in the last 3 minutes. Still got the same coach, just different players who are making the plays.

I remember annually that UND's first 5 games would be 97 - 50 over little Iowa and South Dakota schools. Okay - the haters win - the current Big Sky Coach of the Year is a piece of crap as evidence by how fast he got to 100 losses. Wow - two games from the NCAA Tournament and some just can't find a way to enjoy it.

Apples to oranges in number of losses by coaches. In D II the OOC games were mostly gimmes now they are a higher level of competition. Not defending his record just saying it is different competition.

so based on conversations in other threads some would say this season was a failure. Not my opinion.. I would love to see us host an NIT game.

Aren't there other post season options if WNIT doesn't come through? I'm hoping this lights a fire under the men's team to come out swinging.

Too many missed free throws. sometimes playing that first games is an advantage.
