Could you see a Grand Forks Herald columnist writing similar stories about su? You think an editor went to McFeely and said "You need to write a column about UND football"? You can tell by his topics he's not on a leash - when he runs out of topics he attacks his co-worker Port. Do you think the Forum treated the coaching searches the same for the two schools in the way they reported on them? Forum stories on UND trend toward the negative or in defense of su.

Noticed the crowd wasn't overflowing last night - I know it's a question that can be simply researched but we ended up with one senior this year. However, I'm thinking volleyball is a sport that can be turned around with just a few key players, and the number of seniors doesn't have much to do with that.

I heard SU is having more issues with substance abuse in the locker room.

This - whoever is running the audio has obviously no clue about how to make music a home field advantage. Hint: when UND is in their huddle and especially when they are within 10 seconds of hiking the ball we don't want any music!

I thought when they put together the committee to "enhance the game day experience" a few years ago they did send members to other schools - what we have now is what they came up with from that research. Not saying they failed because it's up to the students and fans to make the game day atmosphere. No committee could create what SU has and what has been shared ad nauseam is that football is #1 at SU. The UND Athletic Department has to split resources and staff between football and hockey in the fall - plus you have The Ralph keeping UND hockey #1 in the public's eyes.

Do students pay for all sports tickets or just hockey?

Yikes - what they do for students now is incredible compared for the return they get. Free bus rides, free tailgating, free tickets, prize giveaways for attending (numerous sports), scholarship prizes - students got none of that a couple of decades ago and were much more a part of the game atmosphere (of course there were no smart phones to bury our noses in at every break in the games back then).

Not saying it is EW this year but historically a B.S. team falls from grace the year following - I was thinking it's going to be Davis.

That could be said about all redshirts - could get hurt, could grad transfer their senior year? If Kett is ready play him, but I'd rather keep Schuster to four games and trade his freshman year for a 5th year senior year.
