  1. Remember he is a former politician, it's easy to spend other people's money. It's not what you know it's who you know. There is no way this position merits that kind of accommodation other than cronyism.

    2019 Season

Hope the stsff is open to some responsibility shuffling, sprcial teams lost us at least one game last year, plus it was very frustrating to watch.
  3. Easy for Mike to spend and prioritize UND's money. Having a DI WH program that averages 200 fans a game and seldom made the playoffs did not contribute to having a premiere DI hockey program. UND is in full compliance with Title IX.
  4. I am guessing it is his wife on his right and a immature millenial on his left.
  5. Mama with due respect no need to post info on Juicer State on this thread, we need to stop caring about Moo U.
  6. Someone had a "Hell Night" in the late 70s, something like 35 cent or all you could drink mixed drinks I seem to remember, it got ugly back at the dorm.
  7. I've always liked "Bisonswille." History has shown that no matter what they have going on, having a constant baggage of visiting trolls with low program esteem is the price we pay for being The Flagship School.
  8. Hope he is smart enough to figure out they were trying to get him on the cheap - only brought money to the table when they had to.
  9. Asking for a friend - so do opulant upgrades like this reduce the amount of money that the Foundation has to donate to UND for other things - like education. Is this an obvious move by KEM to demonstrate that she has money to donate but UND isn't going to get any of it until they bow to her whim?
  10. Spectrum writer (SU's school paper) tries to claim UND is no longer SU's biggest rival (hey I didn't go looking for it, it showed up on my Facebook feed) - then shares that they are honoring their football team at halftime of the men's BB game and we already know they are hanging their banner at the UND football game - seems funny they don't do those things during a game with their biggest rival? Wonder if they will serve free juice during those games to fans?
  11. If we play this way consistently against that middle and lower level teams we will be okay - all signs pointed to a double digit loss.
  12. Wow SDSU also has a better homer on the Midco broadcast than UND does. That color guy is all SDSU, only time he got quiet was when UND made their run.
  13. My post wasn't a diss just sharing some thoughts - it has been a struggle the past few years to fill the seats (I blame the Millenials (joke).
  14. UND fans better step up or we will be surrounded by yellow in our own building. Ticket office needs to pull what SDSU does to make sure UND fans get first dibs. Although I loved sitting next to a pompous SU a** the last time we played them in GF. He got pretty quiet.
  15. Really respect the time and effort both Pearson's invest in this but it seems the last year or two has been a struggle to fill: cheap gas, team is not inspiring, someone has to sit in front of the toilet, over indulgers making numerous trips to bathroom on the way home, perhaps this has run its course. Don't hate on me, just sharing thoughts. God bless Al.
  16. The popularity in golf is declining world-wide. Golf courses are closing every day due to lack of players. It is not a game that has much of a future once the babyboomers are done playing. Why are fewer Americans playing golf? There are three main reasons. First, golf’s calm pace may no longer fit in with modern lifestyles. It can take more than four hours to play a full round of 18 holes. And disappearing to the golf course for half the weekend is not compatible with modern attitudes to child-rearing. Second, while golf may have managed to shake off some of its elitist image, America’s troubled economy is once more making it a pursuit of the wealthy. Middle and lower-income golfers have seen their pay packets shrink, hurting membership numbers at mid-range golf courses. Some public courses have been closed by local governments making spending cuts. Third, golf has become harder to play. Since the 1990s golf-course designers have taken to building longer, tougher courses in order to put golfers and their equipment to the test. The sport’s growing difficulty and its 200-page rulebook make it a tough sell to new players.
  17. You can bet that SU "Mom" is getting talked to by some Bizon zealots and she will stop talking.
  18. Do we really need a guy that played like he was wearing mittens and bolted from our program a year early bringing those skills and attitude to our team?
  19. This has been suggested numerous times to no avail. Some people are just negative, "Fire" threads do nothing for the programs and they certainly have no impact on a coaches tenure along with hurting recruiting.
  20. That works except what made the Nickle trophy special was that at one time there was an actual US coin with a bison on one side and a native american on the other so it does lose some of its uniqueness - still a coin works and perhaps the schools could mint a smaller version as something we could buy.
  21. We had the player talent to make the playoffs this year.
  22. If UND beats NA that would have been us in Fargo, with likely a similar result. Still would have helped the program grow I feel.
  23. I don't think casual fans follow the program close enough that a change in the OC would impact their ticket purchase decision. A 6-5 season is going to lose some bandwagoners and it will take a good year to get their excitement back. That would also coincide with joining the MVFC and having some opponents that people care about on the schedule. So a decent year next year (with a tough schedule) sets the table to sell more season tickets in 2020.

    2018 Season

Love it, always felt that missing out on individual conference awards was a tough sacrifice for our guys, I know it is a team game but this helps.
  25. Next steps in ranting: Process is not visible I do not trust they tried to get strong candidates Process was too visible so really good candidates in established programs were afraid to apply Process was too internally focused to get good candidates from outside Process was too externally focused we didn't give current staff with potential a chance Process took too long we need staff now Process went too quickly we should have at least known who was out there. Chaves needs to make the decisions he has connections Bubba needs to make the decisions it is his staff (and neck on the line).
