I think getting grad school paid for might bring back more than we know right now.

Sadly the NCAA has demonstrated they are willing to leave money on the table. 2015 will live in infamy as a back room dark deal.

Speaking as someone coming a distance and always watching the forecast, weather.com shows that the storm is supposed to be gone by Thursday night and clear sailing for Friday. Thinking about going to the Dakota Bowl in Fargo, does UND have any recruits in the games?

Unwarranted cheap shot, UND put in a very generous bid, but Nicolls State was determined to host. They probably saved enough money on not having inside toilets to help cover the cost (that's an inside joke as their stadium was under construction and there were locker room issues that should have prevented them from hosting but the NCAA was not going to turn down their massive bid).

I don't think it's a given that only 3 get in from MVFC, especially since we will have a top 5 SOS and wins over 2 ranked teams (Youngstown and Abeline Christian).

FCS Basement Podcasters: UND needs to win on the road, everyone UND beat is no longer rated, SOS is a secondary criteria, MVFC is down this year. One week until we start hearing, "It's more about when you lose".

Starting to look like they won't be able to move the bar on us (if we take care of business).

More than 15,000 fans going to Vegas have to assume a couple thousand of those are football fans - add in that it is a team no one has heard of and even $5 tickets are going to leave lots of seats empty. The cat walk is open and based on what a huge home field advantage they bring to the game it should be rockin.

Hockey is king, they have their living quarters and they have their own chef. They bring a lot of notoriety (and money) to UND so it is what it is.

A couple of years ago someone in the know posted lots of information why UND was not in the situation to move up along with su. There was a lot going on at UND at the time and it wasn't just because UND was digging its feet in the sand. It made a lot of sense so it is tiresome to revisit the myth that the only reason UND didn't move up was because they were mocking su.

I organized one last year in Nashville. That bar was very happy, a quiet Saturday afternoon turned into a crowded busy one.

UNI and Youngstown are winning, those wins will look just fine on our resume. Take care of business first.

Unless another team is 8-3 and has a high SOS 7-4 with top 5 SOS should be in. But they can justify anything in the backroom.

If you looked at the schedule prior to the season we are on track to make the playoffs - just gotta take care of business.

Surprise - now there are some FCS tweeters who are saying the MVFC might only get 3 teams in this because after the SUs and SIL it "really drops off". UND needs to take care of business first and finish at least 7-4, with our SOS and losses to only top 10 teams and FBS team (hey they are still FBS) not sure how anyone with credibility could say UND does not make it. But we are well aware of what can happen behind the closed doors of the selection committee.

Thinking there will be a good group of rabbit fans.in attendance.

We need an instant replay of this - ground game, sacks, special teams making plays - it could happen!

I would also like it if the marching band and the canned music operator understand that when UND has the ball it is a home field advantage to not have excess noise when we are in our huddle.

Look back to their last visit here - that worked. Our QB is more seasoned, our running game is solid, special teams comes up with something big.

We don't have a student body that matches up with su.

Very little knowledge available for pre-season polls, just opinions based on history.

1. Really perplexed about how poor our pass defense is - but it goes back to depth losses in the off season I suspect. 2. While short timers don't remember, it wasn't that long ago that a swing pass or short pass was not automatic like it is now. 3. In the past 10 years there have only been a handful of times where I thought UND had the better QB on the field, that has changed. 4. As the football saying goes - Offense, Defense, Special Teams - if you win in two out of three of those you probably win the game. This year that has proven to be true. 5. Prior t the season I saw a clear path to 7-4 and the playoffs and we are on track.

Well I guess I shouldn't believe everything that is shared on the tailgating lot. It is a nice facility.

Had the time, nice time of year for the drive, never been to Youngstown, tailgating is usually fun (and it was), enjoy UND football. The drive home made it seem a bit extravagant, but "Fan" is short for Fanatic!
