St. Cloud is a college town as with most there are pros and cons, some like to exaggerate the cons, others enjoy the pros. SCSU is in a downward spiral as far as students and funding. In the last two decades interest in the hockey program has waned, despite them having successful seasons most years. They've made some clunker decisions that have alienated them in the community (eliminating Homecoming - which they brought back after a few years), eliminating football, student issues in off campus housing. Also it's tough to compete against St. John's which seems to have a protective dome over them when it comes to their issues.

Administration threats of cuts to ndac athletic programs are on the table (which hopefully will keep the trolls on their own site). Or perhaps based on their ethics, it was just a ruse to pull more dollars out of TM pockets - which will work of course.

Actually a destination bowl game at the end of a season sounds fun - of course we could end up in Detroit.

We were told we would never be competitive in the MVFC, third season and we are #3. It is BS to say the conference is down this year. If you really follow the team you get to know some of the parent's of the players and you hear how much they support Bubba and the staff and how much their son is enjoying his time at UND. Of course there are exceptions but the overall vibe you get from the parent's is positive. Most would never come to this site and I'm quite certain they would be perplexed of the negativity they would read (from a minority thankfully).

Yup noticed quite a few penguin walks at Youngstown - If you don't do it in an opponents face or to their bench it's all in fun I guess.

Well they are consistently inconsistent. SOS ignored when it comes to helping UND or hurting Montana. Youngstown State had a better resume than Montana.

In 2015 when Western Illinois got in with 6-5 over 7-4 UND, the committee matched them up with a cupcake to help support the decision.

Did not take long for UND to get to top tier in MVFC, unfortunately there is a big gap between #3 and #2. We gotta continue to raise the level of our lineman.

We beat Idaho state there last year.

In the interview with Sam Herder, the head guy of the Selection Committee listed the Coaches Poll on the list of numerous resources the committee can use - it was not near the top. SOS was actually among the first things he listed. He said that if a team is ranked when you beat them it goes into your resume as a ranked team win, but if that team collapses they also take that into consideration on the back side. He also said that playing a FBS team is a no lose situation - it doesn't count against you if you lose, but if you beat them it counts for you. So based on what he said right now UND is 7-2 in the eyes of the committee and will be either 8-2 or 7-3. Of course we know from previous experience that discussions are held behind closed doors and deals are made. Still being the lone #3 in the MVFC whether is it 8-3 or 7-4 with a top 10 SOS bodes well.

Really satisfied with our TV play by play team.

But we had great energy and noise - important because there were lots of recruits and their parents in the crowd.

I especially love that they knew we were going to try and block the punt and they could not stop us - great scheming!

I think getting grad school paid for might bring back more than we know right now.

Sadly the NCAA has demonstrated they are willing to leave money on the table. 2015 will live in infamy as a back room dark deal.
