He's just repeating what he said on the record a few weeks ago. Of course things change but some on here were wringing their hands needlessly.

Based on interviews it seems UND staff puts a lot of thought into who they offer including how they will fit in with the culture. That's not something that happens over the phone within a few days. IMO they super selective which comes back to building a culture vs building for one year. See Missouri State.

Agreed, most moving on with life, as student-athletes should. Not much damage control yet but every time I open this thread I'm holding my breath.

Via X (Twitter) it's easy to see that every school is losing grad transfers, and soon underclassmen athletes to the portal again this year. It's silly to fuel panic attacks on fan sites. UND might need to change its mindset on how to recruits through the portal, which seems to be they are very selective, but it's the new reality.

He already said it in public in an interview. He is a student athletic with much more on his plate than social media posts.

Grad transferring means they are focused on their graduate level education. They transfer based on where the best grad program is that fits their needs. No need to black helicopter it.

There was a TV interview more than a month ago where he said "My plan is to return next year." Of course things change.

There have been numerous times that a freshman QB has tore us up. No reason to think that the two thoroughbreds we have aren't ready.
