I was thinking the same, why pay the money for a national search when they didn't have to - internal promotions do not require job postings I believe. If they wanted to "see who was out there" what were they expecting? Did those candidates even have a chance or was it just going through the motions. We will never know.

Losing a game is rough, especially one that was most likely a win based on their record. Still haunted by a 6-5 team getting in over our 7-4 team. However if we win out it won't be an issue.

At this level she has to learn to take the emotion out of decisions and make the difficult ones - both current roster, recruiting and staffing. Hopefully she has a mentor or two coaching her on this.

I am fine with downplaying us, however SU has certainly not looked great in any of their victories and they have played the bottom of the conference while we have plated the top tier teams. Still I will have a pit in my stomach until we prove it on the field. I believe it was Coach Roebuck who was quoted as saying "You haven't really beaten the bison until you beat them on their home court/field."

Except there is bragging rights no matter if it is a heated rivalry game or not.

Love how some at Moo U think it is an advantage that "UND has no film on Miller". We have faced first year starters in a couple of our games. We don't need no stinking film. We have sent three of the four starting quarterbacks we have faced to the training room. Can't wait to see what Freund has in his playbook to unleash. It's gonna be Bloody Nose Alley out there and I like our chances.

However this is the same school that does not allow players to celebrate a conference championship because "it's not the championship we want".

Will you at least admit the bar has been lowered when they celebrate scrapping out a one score win at home against a team that in the past they would have boat raced?

This is a lame excuse UND has quickly become a top tier FCS football school, we have beaten ranked teams numerous years, we won the Big Sky, we have made the playoffs more times than 90% of the other teams in the FCS. Of course living in the shadow of SU is something no other school has to face, but guess what that is going to turn around a lot faster than most people thought.

Time for D to step up.
