  1. I don't equate poking fun at an ex-rival when they are experiencing issues the same as being "High and Mighty", it's just what ex-rival fans do when you get the chance. FU has just made it so easy in the past few years and yes UND has had issues too, ours just aren't state-wide and we don't have an AD in front of the press justifying keeping players on the field as a way of "Giving them their day in Court". Update from the news about St. Cloud State football players being charged with disorderly conduct earlier this week - they won't be playing in the national champiosship quarter final game this weekend - talk about a school having messed up priorities -what about the proven winning FU formula of winning at all costs (sarcasm).
  2. Great you've made your daily chest thump - thanks for your intersest in the Flagship University of North Dakota.
  3. So let's get this straight a guy gets put on personal leave and that makes you smile - there's names for people who find happiness in the pain of others - loser is the most civil I can think of.
  4. Hmmm that would make two Division I Football Coaches in the state with baggage.(However I do think he is a great candidate. Everyone makes mistakes in judgement shouldn't haunt you for life.)

    2013 Playoffs

Plus it was generally accepted here that if we kept last year's coaching staff the recruiting was going to be terrible anyway because no one wants to come to a school with a losing record, so if that was correct this year was gone anyway. There will be quality athletes that choose UND because of the education they will get - might not be as deep a class as we need but now it's short-term pain for a long-term gain. Back on topic track - wonder what a poll on this site would look like for those rooting for FU vs those rooting against FU?
  6. 82SiouxGuy got it right - near identical situation with similar charges (not the fake signature gathers, the alley fighter) - one school had a student code of conduct and institutional integrity so they gave out suspensions of starters during the national playoffs, the other had a game to win.
  7. http://www.sctimes.com/article/20131201/NEWS01/312010039/2-SCSU-football-players-arrested-after-scuffle-downtown?nclick_check=1 Still another school that obviously doesn't believe in giving their student athletes "their day in court.".
  8. Frenchy was at homecoming a couple of years ago I asked hime that question, he said all the mugs were bought by somone and sold on Ebay when the bar closed.
  9. Hey I thought these boards were a place where it was okay to be cynical and sarcastic - I read it here everyday. It's just that mine isn't directed at the players and coaches. P.S. Takes one to know one.
  10. Games like this are valuable early in the season - reminds them they need to show up every game. That being said the atmosphere was atrocious in that gym, add in travel, the holiday, lots of things contribute to an effort like that - no excuses because the other team had the same distractions but I'm sure the team was not satisfied with the effort either. Who was on watch to make sure the redshirts weren't laughing and the coach wasn't running his fingers through his hair (sarcastic football reference - I promise someday I'll let it go.)
  11. Watching the Oregon Webast of the game - the announcers says about 5 words every minute and never says the score - no scoreboard online that I can see. Dang our free throw shooting is terrible.
  12. I'd say there are some candidates with interesting backgrounds that have applied - also knowing that many more won't come in until the last few days.
  13. Every sport we beat them in just kicks the football game can a little further down the road - yes they would have probably destoyed us this year but they can't take the change of losing the mystic - the irony is that by the time we do get them back on the schedule it will be much more balanced. How tough would it be to have only one sport you can beat your in-state rival in?
  14. Sorry wrong number - you're asking for maturity, integrity and common sense in the land of annonymous insults and demands.
  15. Hardin is graduating this year as are most of the seniors - got a quality education, got to play football at a very high level, got their education paid for, moving ahead with their lives. Those that progressed toward their degree and either got it or will get it got what they came to UND for. I guarantee they aren't sayng their college expereience was horrible. Does the assumption follow that every player on every college team that had a losing season had a horrible college experience.- doubt it.
  16. I'm assuming that was a bad joke otherwise I'm going to throw up in my mouth - no UND fan would ever suggest Knucklehead Hager other than in jest, UND has higher standards. Not only were his team's off field activities out of control he's done nothing since leaving FU.
  17. Yah but they got the virtual national championship rings.
  18. With proper training from the football team they could collect 10,000+ signatures in the sold-out Betty alone (and never leave the locker room.)
  19. They don't own the farm they work on the farm, the UND grad that owns the bank owns the farm. Seems like every week we attract new trolls must not be much to talk about over at bison-swille.
  20. Yes there are complaints in Fargo that the game wasn't held in The Ralph. Nice that they kept it in The Betty and preserved the home court advantage. I'm guessing they are expecting a large walk-up crowd - some may get turned away hopefully from the south.
  21. I thought special teams play had major issues - a new coach is going to clean house.
  22. He's on "Ignore" so I got no beef with him - what I can't see I can't get defensive about
  23. Just stating facts. based on your comment perhaps you should be spending more time with your wife and perhaps a counselor.
