  1. They officially announce it as: "In addition, all U.S. games that lead to the gold-medal game will be televised on ESPN2, with the exception of a U.S. appearance in the gold-medal game, which will be carried on ESPN." So they'll continue showing games on ESPN2 if USA keeps winning, but the gold medal game, if the US is in it, will be on ESPN. But they will not show the bronze medal, or any relegation games.
  2. Having lived in both Moorhead and Grand Forks, I don't see how this is at all an attempt for Grand Forks to "be like Fargo." But nice try.
  3. Maybe it's just because it was USA vs. Russia hockey, but I thought this was an EXTREMELY exciting game to watch. I hope nobody missed it.
  4. Thanks for the updates! Keep 'em coming. I'm here at the basketball game wishing I could be watching the hockey game.
  5. Quick update: Men's bball is up 51-50 with 15:43 left in the 2nd. FYI: This team (BSU) beat us by 11 when we played there earlier in the year.
  6. For those interested, the Women's bball team won tonight, can't remember the score, and the men are tied at 27 with 4:20 left in the 1st.
  7. Attendance has seemed a bit down, but without only one real level of seating, it's easier for the fans to spread out. Hopefully it will pick up, but by that time it'll be NCC season and all those games will be in the Ralph. I've never understood that decision.
  8. As far as I know, the Gemini's are the only ones that have the correct colors on the SIOUX logo across the front. They have the correct Black words with white and green outlines. The other jersey I have (the label says K1, not sure exactly what brand) has green text with a black outline. The team has their letters the same as the Gemini's, and it does look a lot better. I got my Gemini 3 years ago at a smaller sporting good store in West Acres in Fargo. Good to hear you can find them around again, although I never knew they disappeared.
  9. So they have to schedule least 25 games against DI teams, but are only allowed to play three of them??
  10. I believe Pitt State ran the same option offense the past two times we played them (2001, 2003). Here the box scores from those two games: 2001: http://fightingsioux.com/sports/football/r...001/UNDFB13.HTM 2003: http://fightingsioux.com/sports/football/b...asp?GAME_ID=896
  11. The band is in 212. From what I have heard the GVSU parents (maybe some fans) will also be in 212 since the band only takes up 15 seats wide and 10-11 rows up.
  12. Your computer needs to have a video card that supports Video Out (Usually S-Video). Then you need to have your TV have an S-Video In. Then just buy an S-Video cable and run it between the two. If your video card has the correct output, check your manual on how to activate the output.
  13. This is always something I've disagreed with. Just because we are fans of the team doesn't mean we have to blindly follow everything they do and aren't allowed to critisize them. We love the team just as much as anybody and wish to see them succeed as much as the team does. I haven't heard anybody say "if this team doesn't start winning I'm going to stop going to the games."
  14. This just made my day! Is this going to be a single camera feed, or multi-cameras like at St. Cloud and all other games? For some reason I get the feeling we'll only get one camera at MTU.
  15. In case I was the only one who noticed, during a quick montage at the beginning of sports center there was about a 1 second clip of Schneider beating the hell outta MacMurchy. I know, I know, just 1 second, but I guess when there's no NHL the hockey fans in Connecticut must be watching something.
  16. The biggest issue I find with trying to emphasize research so much, is that the professors start focusing on their research more than they do on their students' education. This is a severe downfall in the system and causes many problems.
  17. This is the biggest one right here. If the team plays up to potential for the full 60 minutes, we'll definatly have the win.
  18. I think he's talking about "SI On Campus," not just Sports Illustrated. It's an entirely different magazine.
  19. It's this type of attitude that is the reason the NHL keeps fighting allowed. "It is part of hockey" is a HORRIBLE argument. Hockey is passing, shooting, scoring, setting up plays and winning games. Fighting is NOT part of hockey. It was made part of hockey because players started to not be able to control themselves. A true hockey fan will remain a hockey fan if fighting is eliminated, and I know hockey will gain fans if they get rid of fighting. I have talked to many people who say the reason they don't watch hockey is because of the lack of self control of the players. And actually, it didn't fire up the players. In an interview, Greene said he was supported McMahon's fight, but it didn't fire up the players like he had hoped it would.
  20. The Ralph, by putting the band in the upper corner of the ralph, ruined the Seive chant. Sit by the band sometime, they'll try to match up with the students, and they match the students arms perfectly. Unfortunatly, by the time the sounds of the drums get down to the students, its off. Wanna fix the seive chant? Lets the drums go on their own. If everybody in the arena will follow the drums, then everybody will be together.
  21. Somebody HAS to make this one.
  22. That was by far the best game ever played at the Alerus Center.
  23. Not this year, but last year they could have.
  24. As I pointed out in another, our defense also has a shutout going for over 9 straight quarters. 139:24 to be exact. Think we can extend it this weekend?
