  1. I hate to beat a dead horse, but I just thought I'd point out the text from the official NCAA Ice Hockey Rule Book. Rule 6, Section 23, Part b: "Hitting from behind into the side boards, end boards or goal cage is a flagrant violation." PENTALTY -- Major and game misconduct or disqualification. Just something to point out, because the way I read this, there should have been no question on what call to make in that situation. I guess the ref's don't really know the rulebook the way they should.
  2. I didn't notice any problems this past weekend.
  3. ESPN is reporting that this is the first time the final four teams for an NCAA tournament are all from the same conference in ANY sport.
  4. Not for hockey, but they have for football and they've continued to use the old logo.
  5. Wouldn't Denver get the choice since they are the highest #1 seed remaining?
  6. Yes, I was sent the video, but didn't know what it was from or when it was from. And I didn't want to start a new thread to say "here's a neat goal but I don't know what it's about." Anyway, it seems it's already up on a website so I won't need to host it. But if somebody wants to send me Spirko's goal, I would love to see it, and I could host that one for people to see.
  7. I watch sportscenter quite a bit, but I don't memorize who coaches every team in the tournament. I had no idea which team he coaches.
  8. He's acknowledging the kids/fans, that's all. Nothing wrong with that. I don't think the kids had any idea what really happened or could even being to ponder why it just happened.
  9. Here it is for anybody that wants it. http://www.prideforums.org/stuff/HirschCC.mpeg Please right-click->Save As to download the file.
  10. Does anybody know which shoulder Prpich hurt?
  11. First of all, it's the men's basketball tournament. And second, it's going to be broadcast nationally in HD. The betty isn't fitted for cameras.
  12. What it comes down to is the fact that all games are equal. If they would have lost 2 games earlier in the season, but one these last two game, they'd be in the same place. The pairwise rankings don't put into account the current situation of the team, just the teams they played, and the wins and loses. And that's how it should be. A game is a game. Just because two of their loses came in the tournament doesn't mean they should get punished that much more for losing them. uh oh....did I just defend the Gophers? No, I guess not, just the PWR.
  13. I also remember that game. One of the only times I've sat right next to the glass. He was about 10 feet away from me arguing with the refs (right next to the penalty boxes) with the blood on his jersey. We were fuming about the missed call, as well. When will things change? Maybe it will take getting rid of Daddy Shepard before something will change. I don't know why this seems to stop at him? He's not in charge of the WCHA, why don't the people above him see the problem? Do they not know hockey?
  14. If the games are being done by ESPN Syndicate, is there anything to say FSSN can't pick up the game? I didn't think it was ruled out yet, but the way some of you are talking, you are acting like its an impossibility.
  15. If somebody can send it to me, I can rehost it for people to download. webmaster@prideforums.org
  16. Good thing we're on spring break. Chances are the campus was pretty deserted while that was going on.
  17. I hate to jump into a conversation I'm not really a part of, but isn't this the exact same discussion/argument that is had every year? Is it really worth having again?
  18. Well, the #1 seed always plays the winner of the play-in game. But that has nothing to do with who plays when. Minnesota always has, and likely always will, get to play the evening game for no other reason than for the WCHA to make money off higher attendance.
  19. Well if that's the case, then this is a better option. Although I'm still not thrilled about missing the beginning of the hockey game in order to catch the end of the basketball game. Then again, unless the game is really close, score-wise, maybe I can jump over to the hockey game. Fortunatly, if the hockey team goes to 3 games, I can be at that game in its entirety.
  20. I realize why the have the games scheduled like they do, but putting the UND games at night will severely conflict with the hockey games. I thought they'd be smarter than that.
  21. You do realize that's still last week's poll, right?

Which arm did he hurt? If it's his left it will probably affect his shot more than if it's his right.
  23. The last home game had attendance 800 over The Betty's capacity.
