This might be the first first move the Ralph has made that will actually make them less profit. Or maybe that's what the mixed-drink stands are meant to offset. I understand being angry that they are getting rid of SRO tickets, but this will make the game just that much more comfortable for those who are there, correct?

The game that's the saturday after thanksgiving is the 3rd playoff game. The fourth game is a week after that, still. Generally the first weekend of December. Last year it got mighty cold. I know I wouldn't have wanted to be sitting outside to watch a game in that weather. But I do agree, this past weekend would have been fun outside.

Some of you will be very happy to know that the basketball schedules have been changed. It appears that every single home basketball game up until the Jan 14th conference opener will be played at the Betty. So it looks like that building will get plenty of game time this season. And who knows, maybe the teams will like it enough to demand all the conference games get played in there, too.

Channel 23, right? Yea, mine has ads going with music in the background, too. Given, most of it is UND/Sioux advertising, so I'm not sure how much money they're making from it, but it's good free advertising, and the NCAA or ESPN probably own rights to most of the legendary games people would like to see.

I think it would be a good idea, but the money hungry owners probably wouldn't take off their precious income-producing advertisments to put on something entertaining.

So there is a permanent floor for the 4 bball courts, but what will they do for the main bball court? Will something go on top of the big floor, or what? On a different note, sounds exciting. I can't wait to see the inside. What event is on Aug 24th for the opening?

That's why. On another note, the problem with just getting different artificial turf to put down at memorial, and just rolling it up after, is that there would be no place to store it. Not to mention the massive amount of time and man power that would be needed to do that. And they definatly wouldn't make the soccer players do it. It's just not an option.

Can't we just make them exhibition games and have them not count toward our season's record but still play them? It would still be cool even if they didn't count. There could be some NCC Cup that the winner could keep for the year. Like I said, even if it didn't count on the record it would still be fun to have.

Well if they aren't announcing until tomorrow afternoon I imagine it won't be in tomorrow's Herald.

But seriously, how many people here doubted Hakstol would be coach? I think it was just that most of us were keeping an open mind as to would be the coach, and not just jumping to conclusions.

Well, I imagine that if we don't see an external advertisement for the job in a few days/week it probably will stay internal. Otherwise, if the advertisement shows up we'll have to wait a minimum of 30 days. So we should find out something soon.

I've been waiting for them to put it up. To me it's just stupid not to have it up. I can't remember exactly which color is which, but I know one color is easier for fans to see through and the other is better for the TV cameras.

The problem with splitting football games is with season tickets. There aren't nearly as many seats at Memorial as at Alerus. So it would be a big pain to deal with peoples complaints about their seats.

Oh, well that's cool, then. I figured since it was a division 2 thing, we could only use sports that we play at the division II level. But since we're still a division 2 school we can use any sport that we compete in??

We can't use hockey as one of our men's sports, can we?

Anybody know if these will be open to the public? I didn't see anything in the article, unless I missed it.

I can't imagine somebody moving schools to play "better talent" yet still have no chance to win a championship.

Maybe that's another reason why Moorhead did so well, they distributed their talent. Just a thought.
