Wonder if he knows something about whether the Caufield brothers are going to commit there.
-
Exactly, Penticton hasn't been a really high scoring team the last few years compared to others, that's why I mentioned Jones' percentage of his team goals last year was very comparable to Kawaguchi's, at least regular season numbers. Keane is putting up similar numbers to Dixon Bowen, but they don't inspire confidence moving to the next level. Hopefully we can get something out of Keane like we do out of Bowen. We know what his dad gave night in and night out in the NHL.
-
The Caps aren't going to want him to stay and risk losing him after his Senior season, but the Free Agent route might be best for Gersich because he can pick a team that is dire need of forwards with speed and tenacity.
-
Especially for the kind of football they want to play. When it is predicated on having a great offensive line and yours would be bottom of the pile in that league, you have work to do.
-
Yeah, when you're team is scoring 28 goals in a game, not sure if the numbers are something to take too much stock in.

There are plenty of guys that back out on verbal commitments, it is probably more about if they were approached to do so by a school. We might be a little naive to think it doesn't happen a little more than we are led to believe, it's just a matter of if the guy flips or not.
-
True, but if they aren't the right coaches you are just pushing it off until the next year, and if you have an upswing not related to said coach, you could end up losing a higher caliber recruit.
-
I say keep the gentleman's agreement in place, except that now Denver's recruits are open game. Wouldn't mind Tyler Ward.
-
Heisenberg has it on his site now too.
-
Just saying Wong better be committed to the school because Monty will be gone.
-
If he's committing to Denver, he may end up there, but the coaching staff will most likely change.
-
So how many people will renew their season tickets that got them for the first time this year? I know a guy and his wife from work that just got them this year isn't going to renew. Can't blame him when you can predict the play calling.
-
This^^ If a team as loaded as Denver has some growing pains through the first month and a half, I think the ability to win while working in a bunch of freshmen bodes well down the road for us. Hopefully our upside continues to grow along with "The Process". I can't think of many teams we can't beat, but in the same token, we could lose to a lot of teams too if we aren't playing the type of defensive game that gives us the chance to win without needing to light up the scoreboard.

Motzko is always pissed about calls.

Was hoping we could have guys like Gornall, Olson and Smith specifically for games like this. With Gornall gone and Olson injured, we need Smith to be a physical presence without spending time in the box, which can sometimes be a balancing act on the road.
-
We will probably lose then, because I think we stick to how we've been playing, limiting shots and not giving up rebounds. Worked at the Frozen Face off last year.
-
Agree. I have no problem with him icing it if they were all over us, as you can live to fight another day with some great faceoff guys, but I think he had a little time to chip it without getting the icing call. Lesson learned. Without watching it again, I can't say what he was seeing, but he is one of the most responsible forwards we have, so I won't crucify him for a possible lapse in judgement.
-
That's what I was thinking too, but haven't seen anything yet. Perhaps he just wants to make it appear like he is opening up the recruitment process again, and are going to wait a while to announce. Either that, or Cole is doing his due diligence and scoping out other places, in which case I hope UND has been in contact. If Wisconsin did get verbals from both, it would put them up to 33 verbals.
-
I was hesitant to buy them early because it is a lot bigger arena than Scheels, and I think other people are taking a wait and see attitude, knowing there would be seats available once they know UND will get in the tournament. I bought some good seats anyway, hoping I could sell prime seats should UND not make it there.
-
All tickets sold.
-
2 in section 302A Row G right above the entryway in the upper deck on the end UND shoots twice. Seats on the aisle in a 6 seat row, so people aren't coming in and out all the time. $30 each.

After hearing numerous people say they moved or chose to live in surrounding communities around Grand Forks because of some of the taxes here, I have decided that they should be paying for some of the infrastructure around Grand Forks as well because they are working here and utilizing the benefits of the city. So, this time around I will be voting for the Sales tax.
