May appear underwhelming now, but then again, many people said the same thing when they hired assistant coach Gino Gasparini. Usually you don't hire an assistant coach if things aren't going well, but Gasparini became the cog in turning the program around and to our current success with the litany of coaches that followed. Another thing is UND paid for her education which isn't cheap. How often was she out of the lineup over her years here playing for the Canadian National team. Would imagine some of those games missed hurt our chances for the NCAA tournament, but then again UND's program was around to get players on National teams.

I don't think that anyone thinks he is going to flop, so I don't see how him getting paid and starting on his first contract is going to be his downfall. He may not be as dominant as he would have been if he waited another year, but I think he'll be just fine.
