They played the series here last year. (UND swept).

I’m not sure. I would defer to lawyers. It may have to do with visa status.

If a First Nation enrollee, ask one of the area tribes regarding an NIL contract. Could work with Native American youth and promote hockey. The Nike exec coming to campus should be approached. (Gotta think outside the box).

Did the big kid from Litchfield commit anywhere yet?

Why would teammates congratulate arguably their best player when she abandons them when things are tough? She has to do what she thinks is best for her future, but those left behind are likely to feel betrayed.

Doubt it cuz Dave never discussed it.

Is that how the bone spurs deal works too? -
Taxes for single in ND would be closer to $20-25,000. So a bit better, keep $75,000.

The awareness has been raised on this forum. Some don’t like that, some have responded, many wait until they are gone then want to know why someone else isn’t donating the money. -

He said the “old Coach Berry” so I would have to assume it was Berry. I don’t believe Berry would undermine the program to get even. Zellers has multiple UND ties and his Grandparents are very excited to see him play here. -

I was told Berry. I would assume Jackson. I will double check. -

Berry was in Green Bay yesterday talking to Zellers. Very reliable source but not sure what discussion was. Hopefully he is helping reconfirm commitments. -
They did, but I don’t know how many.

Not even once. I worry about my own kids.

Our athletes need to learn how to be respectful guests. Pikes probably kicked their asses. (Pure rumor).

I believe 7-8 is low. I believe if UND “rights the ship” we should expect 8-9 wins each year. That get should get us into the playoffs each year. 7 wins isn’t always enough.
-
That’s cuz you were often the main character.

I agree. I believe our student section has been weak for years. Our non-student fans aren’t any better. As a fan base we do travel well and can get loud. Our band is great. I don’t believe we generate the same energetic atmosphere we once had. Yzerman19 points out what a difference the fans can make to create an energetic atmosphere and he is correct. Penn State’s entire fan base knows their cheers. Same for University of Wisconsin fans. At a Regional final in Madison years ago, their entire fan base, including the “cotton tops” knew their cheers. Wisconsin also has a number of songs in addition to their fight song and Alma mater and they all know them. They play them at graduation, weddings, reunions etc. We don't have that right now. We had the “Snake Pit” in BB many years ago, we had the “Farce” for a number of years. If you sit next to those fans having beers, a lot of their stories involved their shenanigans. This group of students can get together in 15-20yrs and reminisce about yelling “he sucks sh..”. We older fans are just as guilty. The best fans don’t need to wait until we are back at the F4. We need to do the little things as fans that might fire up a team or impress a recruit and their families. We need to dig a bit deeper for our favorite sports do we don’t loose key players cuz of NIL, and can afford to incentivize if necessary, key recruits to come here.

You are correct in that people have a right to be critical if they don’t like what he writes or doesn’t write. As I said, it goes with the job.
-
If we are guessing, it may or may not be true, but we don’t know, nor do we know if it was part of the equation. Berry has moved on with a classy letter. Might be a good idea to let him move on in peace.
-
You are correct in that there is a difference. But as the local hockey writer, he is given the privilege of access to the team and players that others don’t have. If he uses that privilege and becomes a “gossip columnist “ he would likely find players clam up around him and coaches likely wouldn’t be as open.
-
I agree journalists shouldn’t complain when readers or others complain because they won’t share information that is not the business of others. However, it goes with the job. Why does anyone care about disagreements between coaches. It isn’t uncommon. Why would anyone want to know about players parties, girlfriends, disagreements etc.? I assume most of us are no longer in Jr high. Subjects like Arrests, DUI’s, assaults, theft and certain accidents are different.

No, he should not. It serves no purpose. When you are privileged to be allowed “inside”, you have an obligation to keep certain things “in the family”. That includes guys like Schlossman, Hennessy, Poolman, team medical staff, locker room staff etc.
