I think most of this talk comes from the other Dakota schools. Most Sioux fans are ecstatic about joining the Big Sky. The football program needs to right itself. The past couple of years have gone in the wrong direction. My hope is that this year there will be something to build on for entry into the Big Sky in 2012. As far as facilities, I have heard that new turf is being installed in the Alerus this year and just like EWU, the turf will match the team colors.

It's hard to turn away talent regardless of position. Watching the video it is evident that Austin can create his own shot and hit 3s. With the lack of quality big guys out there, it appears the Sioux tact is loading up on shooters and try winning games with the long ball rather than the inside game. Welcome to the Fighting Sioux, Mr. Austin.

I wonder how much UND sees in increased donations due to the national exposure UND has now. Obviously Fighting Sioux athletics is being brought to grads and fans who weren't able to see the Sioux before the FCS contract. That has to equate to increased donations.

Allegiant having discount fares from 6 of the Big Sky cities to Vegas, would be a definite advantage over SLC. And, hey, it's an excuse to go to Vegas.

A conference tournament in Vegas would do well, I believe. It would be a nice excuse for a trip to Vegas in the winter for Nodaks.

Would the NCAA go for a regional in Winnipeg? The MTS Centre has great capacity , 16,000+. You'd get the Sioux fans and the hockey loving Canadians.
