  1. A trip to The Spud and Whitey's in Oct 1980. Yikes, is that really over 30 years ago?
  2. Agreement signed to convert GFAFB building into new UND research-training center
  3. Nice win by the SIoux. Down by in the first half, cut it to 3 at the half and pull out the win. According the piece in the herald, the bench came up big. Still need to work on their free throws. These guys are going to be fun to watch over the next few years.
  4. 60, according to Wikipedia Doesn't really matter. UND is Division I. There is already a thread discussing the pros and cons of lacrosse at UND.
  5. "IF" baseball were to be dropped, bring on lacrosse. The sport is booming. Wrestling is dying.
  6. 13 TOs in the 1st half and 1-6 from the line.
  7. 20-18 at the half. Not impressive. Jones will not be happy.
  8. 11-3 at the 14:50 mark 14-7 at 11:23
  9. Starting a game thread that I know I won't be able to finish. I am following the game via Live Chat over at Fightingsioux.com. Sioux are up 7-1 about 3 1/2 minutes into the game.
  10. UND opening way for new unmanned aircraft training centre
  11. I always loved the Riverboat Sandwich. Haven't been there since 2009, but it was nearly empty for dinner the last time I was there. The old Whitey's was my favorite restaurant. The wink and nod way of getting a table was something I haven't seen since. Between the Antique and Whitey's i had all of my eating and drinking needs met. Pre-flood EGF was the place to be.
  12. This song popped in my head and hasn't left for two days.
  13. More info on the enrollment numbers....UND Posts Largest-Ever Spring Enrollment: 13,458
  14. UND reports record spring enrollment
  15. Didn't we already do that here? In response to Bison Dan's post..... With the recent upgrades to Kraft Field, I don't think baseball is on the chopping block at this time.
  16. "BC Connection" from the late 70's. Was it Kevin Maxwell, Cary Eades and Mark Taylor?? There was also the "Zap Line" with Rick Zaparnuik (sp?) at center.
  17. IF they were able to keep the logo to go along with North Dakota Fighting Spirit to honor the people of Spirit Lake and the stand they took, I could support this.
  18. Bleacher Report.... I am usually dumber after reading it and this was no exception.
  19. I see that Brad tweeted that they had 2,182 on the live chat on Saturday. Wow! Unfortunately I wasn't one of them due to power outage. I had to catch scores via blackberry.
  20. The fake by Anderson going down the lane was pretty nice, too. He caught the Bronc player flat-footed and scored any easy lay-up.
  21. Split??? You stink Dave. We get CBS College Sports here, so I get to see the Sioux on TV once again tonight. I watched BB last night, hockey tonight and BB tomorrow. It's almost like living in GF, but warmer.
  22. UND signs key document to start unmanned aircraft simulator training building at GFAFB
  23. Before I offer the crazy question, I want to say that I can't wait for the Sioux to become an official member of the Big Sky and I'm just tossing this out there to get kicked around. What if .... The Sioux went FBS? The WAC is begging for schools to join. One of the reasons that has been given for allowing the Sioux to forgo the nickname and logo, is that that UND wouldn't be able to host any NCAA playoffs games. The only teams that I can think of that could host NCAA playoff games are the football team and possibly the women's hockey team. If the Sioux went the FBS route, their is no playoffs. You are playing football for conference championships and bowl appearances. Sure the Sioux wouldn't be able to play Minnesota or Iowa, but I'm sure there are a large number of teams that would play the Sioux. UND could tell the NCAA, put us back on your "hostile and abusive" list, we are keeping the name.
