  1. EXACTLY. Taking dives is garbage. There is too much tradition for that crap. Get hit, get up. Robbie Bina set the bar as to when a player should lay down after getting hit from behind.
  2. Okay....a powerplay for UND. Time to get some momentum back. GOAL!!!!!!!!! Boo ya!
  3. Five minute majors are such an energy sucker. They just mess everything up. You've got to go with an odd number of d men, which means guys not used to playing with other guys, and your forward killers need to be juggled......blah.....they just screw things up. Need the period break to get some organization back.
  4. And that official who was five feet away from that hit is the head of officials in the new league.
  5. Penalty, you bet. But if the play last night isn't a major then the play tonight isn't a major. How UND ALWAYS....and I mean ALWAYS ends up on the lesser end of these calls is besides me. I may sound like a homer fan, but its crap.
  6. Clarke has to be back in the net tonight for UND. Gothberg is young, and I think Brad Eidsness said it best last weekend with the whole "not the worst thing to sit back and watch right away" comment.
  7. Freshman line with a great chance. 8 minutes left.
  8. About ten minutes left in the game 2-0. UND.
  9. Fourth line on the ice now with Forbort and Schmaltz.
  10. Both goaltenders playing well.
  11. Clark Saunders......Whooda thought. Big save.
  12. Yuck.....early penalty. Big kill here.
  13. Next goal is big here. If UND can get it they could put this one away.
  14. Huge loss for SCSU not having Hanowski in the lineup. Still very tough at home. I'll stick with the series split.
  15. Blasphemy. Its hostile and abusive. They'd better make them wear uniforms that don't say Sioux on them, or the Alerus center may collapse.
  16. The brother of former SIOUX national champion Tom Philion coaches Hazen......I'm sure they'll still all be cheering for the Sioux.
  17. Always wonder what had happened if Mike Lee ended up at UND. Would Eidsness or Dell never seen the light of day in Grand Forks? Mike Lee never played great against UND, but it took that Farragher one game to beat Lee. Got to get to him early and don't let his confidence build.
  18. Its frustrating to think of what this team could have done if they closed out some games. Cal Poly, Northern Arizona, San Diego State....... I'm not going to pretend that they should have beaten either EWU or Montana State. They got their ##### kicked. But even if they win two of those three games they finish 8-3 (they should beat UNC...SHOULD) and have a chance of making the postseason. They weren't going to win a national championship, but making the postseason their first year of eligibility would have been a tremendous accomplishment.
  19. I thought highly of BU blocking shots. They're young, they run a round a bit, but when it comes to getting in front of a puck and not allowing it to get to your goaltender.....wow. I think they're in the NCAA's this year.
  20. LETS GO SIOUX! LETS GO SIOUX! The Bison have never won at the Alerus center. Lets hope that trend continues.
  21. I'm probably the least knowledgeable UND football fan when it comes to recruiting. So here is my question. Do we have any recruits coming in that can cover wide receivers? Or recruits that won't blow coverage schemes more than 5 times a game?
  22. Ahhh......good call sir. UND loses Friday, rebounds on Saturday to right the ship.
  23. Need to get bodies in front of Farragher. He sees it he stops it. UND won the season series 3-2 last year, but without him playing out of his mind a couple of times it could have been 5-0 for UND. Split on the road. UND wins Friday night, SCSU rights the ship on Saturday. PS: Will Hanowski play?
  24. Great analysis. This is what happened against Anchorage last week that almost cost them in the third period. The Gleason play epitomized what was happening. I think he should have went to the old tried and true "when in doubt chip it out" method with his outlets feet stuck in concrete, but tried to make a one on one play and it cost them. Good goaltending from BU, but if UND buries one of the great chances they had to go up 3-1, I think they steal that game.
  25. Last year UND lost a Saturday night game to BC that was used as a teaching tool about how not to finish a game. I imagine the footage of the third period in this one will likely be used in film sessions to discuss play in their own end.
