  1. I think two of Denmark's goals were ones Campbell should have. Not much he could do on the first one, but the other two he'd probably like back. The third goal was a cross ice one timer that went five hole on him because his stick wasn't in the right spot. I bet if you ask him he'd like all three back.
  2. U.S. wins 11-3. Need a bit of work on the pk, but a nice effort.
  3. Hendrickson had a load of troubles before he came to UND but he kind of turned it around and matured as an individual and stayed out of trouble during his time in Grand Forks. Very concerning though with the others...
  4. I would have loved to hear the 1st intermission speech from coach Blais. Completely different team in the second period.
  5. Agreed. And at the same time the same thing has happened to North Dakota. I remember thinking that Chris Fournier would light the world on fire his freshman season......not so much....
  6. Agreed with some of the posters above. Kids like Fasching are going to go to Minnesota. I mean in this kids case he can play college hockey close to his family, and everyone knows his background with the issues that his siblings have. I really thought there was no way he'd end up at UND, and I'm kind of surprised UND was in the running as long as they were. Agree with Goon as well. UND's coaches do a tremendous job recruiting hockey players. People are pissed off this year because of some of the injuries and defections have hurt the depth at forward on this years squad. I believe this coaching staff has done a remarkable job in recruiting role players that will be around for three or four years, and have an impact when they are juniors and seniors. Look no further than Frattin-Trupp-Malone. Didn't exactly set the world on fire their first few years at UND, but by the time they were seniors they were one of the best lines in college hockey. The same can be said for this years group. Lot of young faces, but they continue to get better as the games go by.
  7. Although the Sioux didn't end up winning the NC, my favorite football game of all time was the Northern Alabama game in the semifinals at the Alerus Center. It was an unreal crowd, and an unreal effort from a UND squad that was a lot less talented than that group from Northern Alabama. I'll never forget the Sioux scoring a TD on their first offensive play on a play action pass and the place going absolutely crazy.....what a game... All time favorite football moment would have to be when Digger Anderson stuck Rod Malone on 4th and one in overtime to end the last UND-NDSU football game. That is the loudest I've ever heard the Alerus Center.
  8. I was wondering how long UAA was going to get to play with 7 skaters on the ice plus a goalie.....
  9. Nelson is putting up Frattin like numbers......wow.
  10. Kristo, and it 3-1 Sioux. Wow can Kristo create space with the puck....unreal....
  11. UND has been great on the powerplay this weekend. Hats off to coach Eades for putting a great plan into place. I like the different looks they are giving the Seawolves going from an umbrella to the overload to the box and one.
  12. Hmmm....McMillan in for Nelson on the wing on the last shift of the period.....hope that Nelson isn't dinged up at all...
  13. 1-0 in the third. One of the Twins just scored.
  14. Time to talk about tonight. I think we'll see a completely different Anchorage team to start the game. I have a feeling coach Shyiak wasn't pleased with his teams performance, and I think they'll come out guns-a-blasin to start the game. Weather the Alaska rush the first part of the game, and then get the puck deep and outwork them in their own end like they did last night. Every league game from this point on has added importance. I think the Sioux have done a great job winning four of their last five league games to get themselves out of the bottom of the league, but tonight is huge to get them to an even sprint with the middle of the pack teams. I'll say 3-1 Sioux.
  15. Quick observations before I let the dogs out, and hit the sack (Before the five month old wakes me up at 3 AM...) ~Nice start by Eidsness, but I think Dell is in the net tomorrow. ~Nice to see the Sioux able to play four lines for most of the game. Scoring early helped. ~The powerplay was fantastic. Best it has looked all year. ~Turned the puck over a bit too much in the defensive end....but my hat is off to the fellas for the shot blocking. Would love to see how many blocked shots the Sioux had. Glad I stayed up to watch the win.
  16. Sioux win 5-2......Need to find a way to get the sweep on Saturday night.
  17. Couple nice saves on some doorstep chances by Eidsness. He has played very well for the Sioux tonight. Under a minute to go. The Sioux will win it....just not sure what the score will be.
  18. Powerplay....wouldn't mind a goal here....
  19. Nice glove save by Eids.....Sioux sitting back a bit.
  20. 5-2 UAA. Defensive breakdown costs the Sioux. Eidsness almost makes a great save.
  21. Powerplay has been good....5-1 Sioux.
  22. Anyone else think the Sioux are passing a bit too much in the prime scoring areas? Shoot the puck fellas. 4-1. Good third period so far.
  23. Agreed. Kind of like weird Saturday night live commercials....
