  1. According to the "#Brick By Brick" Blog, J.J. Robertson "has left the team and won't be returning. It's under the "Notes" section. http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=208921360
  2. College Football Madness has Meindel ranked third for FCS Kicking recruits. He is also 72nd overall for FCS recruits....should be another good kicker in a long line of good kickers for us.
  3. Yea, I saw that too and figured the "loss" was a typo since he was listed as a "returner" and was listed on the roster. Plus I figure we would have heard from Geaux_Sioux already if he wasn't returning! Edwards definitely has some potential...
  4. It looks to me that Mike Edwards is back...listed with jersey #65.
  5. Any thoughts on where JJ Robertson fits in to the picture? Will he buried in the depth chart and not get a chance to get on the field?
  6. He didn't say the conference championship would be next year . Although I agree, that he is most likely a one and done. Sounds like a solid hire with lots of potential upside for the program....welcome to UND Mr. Shay!
  7. Speaking of potential, anyone know how J.J. Robertson is progressing in off season workouts? Being a DI transfer from the U of Illinois, I have some high hopes for him. The WR corp definitely has potentially with Hardin, Jackson, Golladay, Robertson, McGill, and Townsend, hopefully the QB (Mollberg) lives up to his potential...I have a feeling it's going to be a fun few years ahead...at least on the offensive side!

    Ticket sells

I also received my four season tix in the mail yesterday! Now I'm starting to get excited...
  9. So no home game against the University of Utah? Anyone know what happened to that game?

    Ticket sells

Thanks for the heads up. Just got off the phone with Alex. He said I was #5 on the waiting list. Not sure how many spots they have but he said about half of the people from last year have already renewed...

    Ticket sells

This makes me wonder if Utah is still coming to the Betty to play the UND Women. In the packet I received when they sent out season ticket renewals, they advertised that the Ute Women were coming to Grand Forks. Hopefully that hasn't changed. Also, can a moderator correct the title of this thread???

    2013 season

Just a heads up to the administrators...There is an error on the 2013 Schedule on the Wiki page. You have the Sacramento St and Portland St games mixed up. Sac St. is at home on the 19th and Portland St. is on the road on the 26th.
  13. There is more than just hockey games. The Betty hostis volleyball, MBB, and WBB, I still feel a UND themed sports bar would do well. I understand that downtown is the place to be, but students don't go downtown every day of the week. JL Beers and BWW's seem to do just fine...get a restaurant similar to those two as far as a pricing point, and have a UND theme/memorabilia to it and I think it would do fine...definitely better than Suite 49 and Albatross.
  14. According to their web page and facebook page, they are available for private bookings. I guess one could call them to see if that is true or not. There's a poster on this site who claims to be close friends with the owner of Albatross, perhaps he/she could post a more accurate update. Personally, I think it's the wrong type of restaurant for that location. That location needs a sports bar that is geared towards college age and blue collare type folks to be successful...at least in my opinion.
  15. We were good as a DII school which doesn't always translate to being good at the DI level. We also used to have a pipeline to swimmers out of Brazil with Stromberg and Sampeio (Sp?) as a coach.
  16. Refer to post #298 of this thread...
  17. The only issue I have with names such as Reapers and Sodbusters is there connection to farming. Farming may be one of the top industries in the state, but I don't like the conncection to the "Ag School" to the south. Didn't NDSU use to be called Farmers at one time. Anyways, we poke a lot of fun at the Ag School...I don't know that I would like to have an "Ag" related nickname.
  18. I remember them having the Varmints and the Channel Cats but not the River Rats.
  19. Here's a link to their website: http://www.albatrossgf.com/ Appears as though they are only open via reservation until their "Grand Opening" the beginning of August...
  20. The GF location has been removed from the map of Dickey's locations on their website. I agree the food was not very good...only tried it twice and wasn't impressed either time.
  21. Considering that one of the official nicknames for North Dakota is the Rough Rider state, I would say yes, it would still be considered...and perhaps have even more of a realistic chance of being the next nickname. EDIT: don't know how to add links using my phone, but according to Wikipedia, several ND cowboys were apart of Roosevelt's Rough Rider group. It became an official nickname following a state tourism promotion on the 60s and 70s.
  22. My top two are Rough Riders and Fighting Norse...at least as of now EDIT: Too bad we don't have a train bridge nearby...I've always been partial to the "Hi-Liners"! Your have a point, but how about all of the GF Businesses that sponsor UND events? Lot's of locals that give big dollars to the U. I don't know for sure if it would be an issue, but as I said, any "hint" of controversy over a proposed name and I believe the "committee" will eliminate it from consideration.
  23. How would the GF Central supporters feel about cheering for the UND Rough Riders? Personally, I like the name and think it would be a great name for UND. However, I would agree with mksioux that any name that has a hint of controversy will be eliminated from the process very quickly.
  24. Not positive, but my guess would be one of the UNI teams that came here in the last couple of years. EDIT: Also, NDSU hosted A Bob Huggins coached Kansas St. team at the BSA a few years back. Not sure how good that KSU team was though.
