  1. Well that stinks. ISU played solid. UND did not pass well which really messes up the opportunity for the setter to give good looks to the hitters. Looks like we will have to wait a bit longer for our first non- hockey NCAA berth.
  2. Gonna have to dig deep once again...
  3. Wow, came back from dead there. Thought the season was done when ISU went up 23-20. Hopefully the rally provides a spark and they come out strong in the 4th game.
  4. UND was up by 6-8 points most of that second game, but unable to close it out. Lots of unforced errors receiving serve and some bad passing let ISU come back. They have a lot of work to do if they want to play tomorrow.
  5. That works for the hometown fans to a degree but I don't see opposing fans or media doing that. Much easier to say/type the Cavs.
  6. According to this site, the PAC 12 channel is on channel 413 for Dish network. So those of you with Dish Network may be able to get the game. Unfortunately I have DirecTV. http://pac-12.com/channel-finder
  7. So, how did everyone do this year? I ended up tied for 38th with six off the pace of the winner. If I wasn't such a homer and picked UND as much as I did, I could have eliminated three losses. http://www.bigskychallenge.com/leaderboard.php
  8. Accidentally deleted my post so a shortened version. Cavalry is ok but don't like The Cavs for short, which media and opponents will do. I do like Nokes as a shortened version of Nokota. The North Dakota Nokes has a good flow to it, IMO. My first choice is still Norse or Norsemen tho. :-)
  9. Well, we didn't make much progress, we now have six votes. NDSU is no longer ranked but does have 78 points. Maybe if we knock off Oregon or Pacific this weekend, we will get a little recognition. http://www.collegeinsider.com/mens-mid-major-top-25.php
  10. Current line has NDSU 4.5 point favorites.
  11. Similar to basketball in that 64 teams make the tourney.
  12. Honestly, yes, that's what I was wondering. Haven't ever followed this poll to closely but losing 64 votes after winning a game seems kind of odd.
  13. Still doesn't explain why we go from 64-0 does it? Just because we play one game against a sub DI school and win, we lose all 64 votes? Unless there was an error in the first weeks poll.
  14. The new mid major pool is out. http://www.collegeinsider.com/mens-mid-major-top-25.php Not sure how we go from have 64 votes to none? Our next opponent is at #9 and Big Sky teams #19 Weber State, #20 Montana, and #24 UNC.
  15. Finally, a post of yours I might finally agree with. :-)
  16. I figured an 'SU fan would bring that up. The first game we were clearly over-matched and were very young. Last year we didn't have Huff and wasn't Brekke injured in that game and only played three minutes. Either way, I don't see this one a blow out...unless Huff goes off for 30+ again.
  17. Agreed. NDSU had a solid team this year and it is a rivalry game which seldom means a blow out one way or another. I expect UND to win, but I don't believe it will be easy. As long as we can hold our own down low and contain Bjorkland, we should be ok.
  18. He does have 2 fouls, hopefully we can get Traylor active down low on him.
  19. Good question. Do a better job of denying him the ball I guess.
  20. We are playing ok other defending Kamensky. Huff needs to play within himself as well. Forcing it a bit too much.
  21. I do like the tone he is trying to set for not only this game but for the season. Hopefully it pays off.
  22. Surprised they wouldn't at least give the nod to Huff as he is in his home state and a senior.
  23. That's very strange. Looks like Hooker, Benton, and Antwi starting also?
  24. Don't forget the ability to field a team who is competitive and limits mistakes/penalties/personal fouls.
