  1. I didn't see any of those signs on the way down or back. I typically go about 4-5 mph above the posted speed limit. Does anyone know if they ticket a person speeding no matter what (ie 1 mph over the speed limit) or is there some leeway with these photocops? I read this thread yesterday prior to going home. Once at home I checked the mail and the first thing my eye caught was the senders address as "Sky....something or other" and I though, oh boy, I must have been speeding. But on closer inspection, it was a mailing from my "Sky miles" program...
  2. It happened earlier this fall, possibly homecoming at UM-Crookston. I saw it posted a few places elsewhere...
  3. Like him or not, its good for the Alerus Center and GF to get shows to town. Last night the town was crazy, impossible to get a hotel room and nearly the same to get into a restaurant. Jason Aldean won't sell 20,000 tickets but he will still bring people to town and open pocket books.
  4. Good luck getting Wisconsin to come to GF for Basketball. Possibly the women's team would come, but that's it...unless we have a local kid playing for the Badgers and the coach brings his team up so he can play in front of them as Williams did with Boschee.
  5. What kind of shape is the road in? How fast is traffic moving?
  6. Has anyone made it to the border yet? If so, are they making you get off the interstate at that point?
  7. Nice, they open the road 20 minutes after I check in to my room. Oh well, don't have the truck on this trip so guess I will stick it out in the town of Water tonite.
  8. Sitting at Applebees in Watertown. Rumor is the interstate isn't opening until tomorrow morning. Lots of people scrambling to get rooms.
  9. I made it Watertown. Only driving 40-45 between Brookings and Watertown. Huge snow drift at the entrance to the on ramp so they don't seem to be in too much of a hurry to open the interstate. I saw the one truck in the ditch that had rolled.
  10. Good to know...time to start the trek home...
  11. From this thread I've been checking the computer in the hotel lobby. Supposed to check out at 11:00 though.
  12. Is anyone hearing any guesstimates about when I29 is going to reopen. I spent the night in Sioux Falls. Roads are decent here, although I've been told they get pretty bad not too far north.
  13. Not stranded yet. Only up to Sioux City. Probably stay in Sioux Falls since hotel rooms may be scarce north of there.
  14. I'm in Omaha and have now been told its been delayed until at least 700.
  15. I'm not afraid to say it, the Summit is a better basketball conference. Hopefully that will change, but outside of Weber and occasionally UM, Big Sky bb is not very good.
  16. I purchased mine this morning before leaving for Omaha and got 2 tix in section 106. I looked last week and the best available were still on the floor but in a section further away.
  17. Not so much. Saw on the news this morning that they have sold over 19,000 tickets already. They said its the most tickets sold for any oof his shows on the first leg of his tour.
  18. I'm going, section 106. I've seen him once before. He has some good songs but not much for showmanship.
  19. Yes they did. I find it interesting that Denver would go to the Summit knowing UMKC is leaving. If that rumour is true, then I have a hard time believing the Summit is going to implode.
  20. I read on one of the message boards that Denver knew about UMKC leaving prior to accepting their invite to the Summit. Also, Chicago St AD tweeted "you haven't seen anything yet" in reference to UMKC and the conference shuffle. So it apppears there is more to come.
  21. Not arguing with anything your saying Darell...just saying that that may be the reason others aren't able to go as well. Everyone needs to decide the best way to spend disposable income, take time off from work etc. Rick was just commenting that you are on here preaching to everyone to show up and support the team and then don't do it yourself. Perhaps you don't need to preach about it so much...just sayin Ok...done with the thread drift. Hopefully we will have some good news on the IPF front as spring approaches.
  22. I think what Rick is saying, is that there are many others in your same position that have to make those decisions...or something along the lines of practice what you preach... I believe both would apply.
  23. UND will build an on campus football stadium before this idea would ever happen...
  24. According to the Alerus Website, they have 4,198 parking spots for cars...I think it's ample for the majority of events being held there. http://www.aleruscenter.com/?page=building
