It's too bad that they are coaching at the same time, going to be hard on the fans to keep up. Lots of scoring by the good guys tonight. -
You already have a 100 posts on here? OMG. You blame so much on the Hawk, I call you out. Since you showed up, things have not gone so well at The Ralph.

Nice pics Goon, those UND uni are pretty sharp. Blue Cows not so much. -
No more picking on the new mascot.

I've been complaining about this for 3 years, and it's slowly getting worse.

At The Ralph, there will be a huge on site fan interest in the FB game. Also, those in attendance that are falsely labeled as hockey only fans will also be adding to the stress on the wifi.

University of North Dakota 2018-19 Season
BarnWinterSportsEngelstad replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
Bemidji just seems to have our number, we never play them later. It's early in the season, a lot of good play in last nights game. We gave up some weak goals, we hit the pipe a couple of times, had our share of quality shots, and so on. We could reverse that score tonight. I'll be there. -

You bring up interesting comments, maybe I'm one that would be considered over board / over the top by today's PC. I have: Complained about our poor attendance by students, even just a few posts back. Made comments about rebuilding the post college age fan base. Tried to encourage fans next to me to engage at games. Have suggested on here that maybe even the Dakota Student could spill some ink on the advantages we have with the home field crowd. As I think through this, maybe I should lighten up. I have no arrogant right to put this pressure on anyone. The Dakota Student comment might work to a degree. I would guess, usually college support for sports starts when you are a student, that being immediately when you pay your fees. Some will go to the games. Support in a variety of ways will continue for some through AlumniHOOD. Just WIN baby and make it easy. If the FB team wins too many games, seats will become a premium at the Hawks' Nest. Then at home games, the students' market share could start to slip.

FCS Football Polls
BarnWinterSportsEngelstad replied to BarnWinterSportsEngelstad's topic in Football
Agree, we will have challenges getting into the playoffs, as an independent. NCAA's 24 teams, 13 conference winners. That leaves 11 spots to a committe that loves to give favors, none of which would go our way. Win out baby! -
FCS Football Polls
BarnWinterSportsEngelstad replied to BarnWinterSportsEngelstad's topic in Football
Dropped out: Montana, South Dakota Others receiving votes: North Dakota 271 https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/football/fcs/stats-fcs-top-25 We are like in 26th place. Not a bad place to be mid October after last year. Keep everyone hungry, prove the establishment wrong. Hoepfully we can roll the dice, slowly move into top 8, host another game in the Hawks' Nest.
