  1. In the last 8 days (3 games), this team showed it may have the potential that was heralded over the summer.
  2. Wisconsin isn't drawing well in the TC, but a destination game in Chicago could? They have a lot of alumni there, our alumni seem to travel. If were looking to fill pro-hockey size arenas, we need help from the visiting teams. I think this is part of the idea with Penn St.
  3. It's going to take the Goofs some time to mentally get over their embarrassing visit to LV.
  4. If UND/The Ralph continue to make this work, I would like to see us play Wisconsin in Chicago. That should draw a crowd.
  5. And, there might need to be approval from the ND State Legislature to delay the consummation of ownership of this future interest in 2030. Assuming the U, all 3 non-profits, and the LLC agree to continue. Since 2000 the Legislature may have a change of heart regarding this successful endeavor.
  6. Excellent feed. Boston U (0-4-1) at NE (4-2-1) tied, play again at Boston U on Friday.
  7. What you mean by she? She or The Ralph? The Ralph already is which really is the community that supports UND sports.
  8. Ms. McGarry pretty much already is President of The Ralph in how this is all legally setup with 3 non profits and a LLC. Don't really see anything new here though. In the disagreement with president Kennedy earlier this year, she already mentioned she will not support the U but does support the students (whatever that support the students means). The GF Herald gets another F here. What the hell are they doing bringing this up again? Nothing new here, just stirring the pot. Now if Ms. McGarry (trustee of Engelstad Foundation - $800M strong) said, "The foundation will give the U $XXM when they swear in the next president" that would be new news!
  9. And then during the building process, president Kupchella swallowed his tongue a few times over the logo.
  10. The fans are just learning hockey lingo, so their hockey message board shouldn't be too far away.
  11. Your 2nd & 3rd paragraphs seem to be a pretty good observation. Would it be great if we had about 15,000 fans and and Penn State had about 5,000 fans. Having oppenent fans in the crowd (especially if there in exculsive sections), would add to the atmosphere. Sign me up.
  12. Imagine the hype on this board if we would of just snuck by Weber. Came back from Vegas with a hockey and FB high, waiting for this game in Idaho?
  13. I'm becoming very conerned about the outcome of this game.
  14. Probably not, when you are using ND/MN area vs. GF area. But possible, when you use non-season ticket holders - then your percentages go up. A lot of M/SP residents and a scattering of other states. Season ticket holders resold many tickets to non GF area buyers, They were for sale on many web sites for a long time. I talked to people who paid $500 a seat down to $150 a seat. This attendance would be hard to figure out, many were not regulars to live games. But watching on TV, internet, reading print, or replay of a game - these fans kept up with the team.
  15. Basketball I'm aware of, so FB is a first meeting, unless someone else proves us wrong. I'm not for us going FBS, we just don't have the resources. There are supporters of the climb though. I didn't realize some of your games still count as FBS. We are kind of in a weird territory also (left Big Sky this season but don't start MVFC till 2020) in that we play a Big Sky schedule as an Independent but the games count as a conference game for you guys, not us. Just seems weird. I've did the fish on Fridays. A friend talked me into the salmon and halibut in Sitka, ocean side of Juneau. Great time. Hopefully some ND fans show up at your tailgate.
  16. Great to hear from you letsfish, I know there is one fan going that posted in the Attendance thread, there will be more. I don't recall, do you know if we ever played each other before? I know you were FBS, BTW Washington did us in in wk2. I'm thinking this could be a close game. Could also be a night mare for us, being we had high hopes after beating Sam Houston and still have playoff hopes. And, yes injury free game would be good.
  17. I wasn't at the game, but watched the limited amount that was shown on the out door screen at the Orleans (they had issues keeping the game on). Weber's offense didn't look like one of the worst in fcs, stats are one thing, but was it really our defense or could their offense be considerable better than what the stats show. They played JM well enough to win in last years playoffs?
  18. Did you thump your Bizon T-shirt when you screwed up at work? Simple ?
  19. A lot of the fans that show up for the Nashville puck drop won't have a primary residence in GF or surrounding area. WiSioux, you are right, the fans came from everywhere. Most Vegas tickets were originally sold to season tickets holders, but many were resold to loyal UND fans that don't get to see many live games since they left college or ND. These buyers got a boatload of fun for a $200 or more ticket. I arrived at noon for the FB game on the big screen, that left 7 hours to mingle with the fans. I visited with 21 fraternity brothers that I went to college with at the pre-game and only 4 of us were from GF and had season tickets, that's a small sample pool but shows somewhat of a deviation from the norm. I did run into many people that are season ticket holders but also many that aren't season ticket holders and don't live in the local area. This is far from the case at a normal UND home game. The UND / Ralph destination game planners have something going here. The airline prices and challenges with limited area flights encouraged locals to put their tickets up for sale. Edit: I would say a great majority of the fans were from 35 to 75 years old.
  20. Thinking there will be 10,000 fans at the game. Let us know how many are wearing green?
  21. NOV 3 (SAT) 4 P.M. Central Time Kibbie-ASUI Activity Center U of Idaho Vandalls Moscow, Idaho The Kibbie Dome has been the home of Vandal athletics since 1975 RealGrass Pro (2007– present). 16,000 seats. Elevation of 2,610 feet above sea level.
