  1. Well played. Have you seen wheelchair adult leagues? They're dirty as the day is long.
  2. To the first bold section, I say balderdash. If I know you have deep muscle bruise on the outside of your bicep I'm giving you a legal, within the rules, whack on it every chance I get. And I'm going to ask you how it feels after each one. To your second point, you are correct. You play within the rules. Finally, Wentz is Wentz. He'll be eluding and escaping UND's LBs all day. Their only hope in the diving ankle tackle.
  3. Another vote, yes.Students only, no. Same constituents vote again if a second vote is needed is how I read the process. http://und.edu/news/2015/08/kelley-nickname-vote.cfm
  4. Forcing him to run on it is an attack on that ankle. You attack the opponent's weakness. You play to win the game.
  5. Watch sports. Carefully. You'll see that extra little shove from the defender (while getting up) on the shoulder of a sacked QB who's in his first game back from a shoulder problem. You'll see that extra whack on the glove of the centerman (with a bad thumb) taking a draw. It's the reality of the game.
  6. Folks, the "extra effort" to rush an immobile QB due to injury is ... targeting the injury.
  7. I like this notion.
  8. Keep to your resort or the resort provided guided tour "tourist traps" and you'll be fine. .. ya'mon.
  9. 1. Teams target known injuries on opponents all the time. It's common practice and widely known and done in football and hockey*. I'm fine with practice as long as it's kept within the limits of the rules (i.e. no bounties or illegal hits). Don't believe me? Look at all the times guys could try to tackle Tony Romo up around the shoulders but instead go in at the hip (lower back) level. 2. Yes, I'm a moderator. And ... *In hockey they've gotten smart enough to stay abstract with ever popular "upper body" or "lower body" injury reports.
  10. The questions now are extent, recovery, and mobility. Dear Coach Schmidt, have your OLBs practiced the art of the "'gator death roll ankle tackle" lately.
  11. Minors will drink in the college aged years. It's an uncomfortable reality. Some will get caught and learn. But my compassion drops markedly for a minor who drinks then gets behind the wheel.
  12. It was another classic NDSU game finish ... except this time NDSU was the victim.
  13. I noticed that after Rob Port ran his story it appeared that Ms. Neset was backpedaling faster than a CB lined up against Bob Hayes on a fly route.
  14. When Faison ran the numbers and said they'd be doing FCOA for hockey do folks really believe they didn't finish the calculation across the entire department? When Faison said they'd be watching the rest of the Big Sky do folks really believe he didn't know what his number would be if Montana announced tomorrow?
  15. The wheels were in motion before Kelley got here. He was hired to close out the job. Too bad it took him this long to do what he was hired to do.
  16. You want a long-term remembrance of this UND president (Kelley)?
  17. No matter what we end up choosing, I'm sure we'll come through it just fine.
  18. You are special, and darn it, people like you!
  19. One vote per person (or else I'd be voting as alumni, donor, and season tickets).
  20. Chewey, my man, that has been guaranteed from the start. Proof? The folks still wearing "Stanford Indians" or "Dartmouth Indians" original gear to games.
  21. You keep throwing that Trojan horse out there.
  22. And with that quote Rob Port finally got something right. Someone does need to be the adult in the room. And it's taken heaven knows how long, but believe it or not, it was Robert Kelley. We've had three years of "talking" and "get this right". With all due respect to the chair of the ND SBoHE, but "One more look at this and visit with everybody and come to a decision" is pure hokum. Committee after committee has already done that ad nauseum. Where has she been throughout this process?
