Allow me to summarize this week's game:
-
Whoa-whoa-whoa ... #DayByDay
-
Then again, NDSU played many of their ones last season for the vast majority of the snaps also.

Tell him to take it off your inheritance.

Last week means nothing. This week means everything.

Did the Bismarck Tribune vote, or at least tip their hand, on Sunday morning? -
What? You finally ponied up the shekels for Coaches Club level membership in Champions Club?
-
Monday morning return flight ritual as well?

There are 253 teams playing DI football today. At risk of repeating myself, I see three levels of DI college football coming: The (about) Top 2/3 of today's FBS (aka the P5): I'll say it'll shake out to be roughly 60-80 teams. The Bottom 1/3 of today's FBS (G5) plus the top 1/3 of FCS: Think MVFC, Big Sky, CAA members who make the fiscal commitment plus the G5 schools that just don't have media revenues like the P5s. That too will make about 80 or so schools. The rest of FCS: Those schools who can't do FCOA much less the extra scholarships, plus the Pioneer League, SWAC, etc. I base that analysis on statements by Nick Saban about how the top DI schools should play each other and from SBC Commissioner Benson saying there is a line between the top 5 and next 5 conferences in FBS. I think it may come down to maybe more simply this: - Do you play in a conference with its own television network (not contract, network)? - Do you play in a conference with at least a regional television contract? - Do you offer FCOA, or scholarships at all for that matter? -

John, John, John, ... where's that sense of humor of yours? The most recent magazine is always in the dentist's office waiting room so what else would be here in the waiting room here but the most recent games. -

Paging Mr. Volley, Mister SiouxVolley, please report to this thread. Mr. #MACtion, Mr. Volley will be with you shortly to address your concerns. Please take a seat in our waiting room where you'll be able to choose to watch either "UND 24 Wyoming 13" or "Portland State 24 Washington State 17". Thank you for your patience. -
Aw nuts; Klieman noticed.

All I can guess is this: The ball was set with the nose just touching the 48. The WR's toe is just touching the 47. The center set the ball way forward (to 48 and a half) before snapping it (as they all do). The WR would be within one yard of ball placement on line in that scenario. That's the only way I can figure other than the WR did the point-check-nod-from-linesman thing.
-
The play counted. You must be wrong. That picture does look like six on the line. I wonder if the WR checked with the linesman before the play.
-
bison73, please understand without a source you'll be received like Simone.

You hangin' out with Rob Port again?

I used to enjoy seeing John chop up Dean Blais at Boosters meetings in Fargo when I could get there. Blais fears no one; Blais took everything John gave him in stride. I'm still not sure I believe the stories of John donning the "Fr. John" persona and playing for the "friendly" team of Catholic priests (some his relatives) that would play for-fun public exhibition games in northwest Minnesota, but I could see it. #UltimateRinger John, you'll be missed. http://www.inforum.com/sports/3831620-former-und-olympic-hockey-player-john-noah-dies

Dear Mr. Sdao, How about them Rangers? NY or Texas. How about them Giants? NY or SF. How about them Kings? LA or Sacramento (same state). -
UND does not fill the full number of NCAA allowed grants-in-aid for all sports. The latest grants-in-aid dollars numbers I have (from US DOEd) are: School Men Women Total NDSU 2037708 1323941 3361649 UND 1975047 1908352 3883399 Based on the higher total dollars for grants-in-aid, it would seem logical that UND's FCOA totals would be at least that of NDSU if not higher.
-
You're surprised the extra costs to attend school in two North Dakota cities separated by 75 miles are the same? ... a full amended grant-in-aid at UND is based on the total cost of mandatory fees and tuition (online tuition not included), room (as determined by UND for double occupancy), board (based on the “Unlimited Meal Plus Plan” rate) and books (as determined by the NCAA), plus personal expenses (including transportation) as outlined by the Student Financial Aid Office for athletes.

I wonder how Patty V. and the rest of the MVFC felt when NDSU called and told them they were doing this before they announced it. I wonder how Tom D. and the rest of the Summit felt when NDSU called and told them they were doing this before they announced it. I wonder how Doug F. and the rest of the Big Sky felt when UND called and told them they were doing this before they announced it.
