    Kelley came to his senses and followed the process (committee recommendations) before. He must follow the process, HIS process, again or he's clearly open to the criticism that he's manipulating the outcome.

    Dr. Kelley needs to step back and follow the process he defined and just go with two. Otherwise how are we to not believe that he'll change the rules again this round? He needs to maintain the integrity of his own process.

    My question is this: Will Kelley backtrack on putting three on the ballot or will he backtrack on not requiring a majority vote in round two? Backtracking and changing the rules midstream are the only parts of this process that have been consistent.

    To me the GFRRHS issue is a non-issue. For many years in the Canadian Football League (same league!) there were the Rough Riders (Ottawa) and the Roughriders (Saskatchewan). If Canadians could manage that, folks in Grand Forks can manage UND being called "Roughriders".

    I've wondered that. I wonder what the Qualtrics contract with UND says. If they just have to report the final or outcome results, UND will get a letter that says "___________ won by getting a majority." An open records request will only get that letter to UND (because depending on the contract stipulations Qualtrics is not subject to open records). Now if the contract says "report all survey results to UND" an open records request will show it all.

    Like it or not, people perceive your comments on how well you present them. If you're going to criticise the offensive play calling or the offensive coordinator it might be good to not call them what you hear (offense of) but what the jobs are (offensive). And for the record, I'd like better, less conservative, play calling with a lead. It's pretty clear that in the BSC a 14 point second half lead is something most teams can easily overcome over good defenses.

    Did I say that's what the logo would be? No. That's how the Fargo Forum perceives what a "Nodak" is. The largest newspaper in the state perceives the word "Nodak" to be a bibs wearin' hick. So keep your money, or bet the Forum editorial board (as it's their work), and quit shooting messengers.

    That cartoon was the prime editorial cartoon in Sunday's Fargo Forum. That's not a scare tactic by me; the Forum is putting that out there; that is reality, and not of my doing. Please save your vitriol for them.

    Another question: Why the request for a TRO on the vote? What are they afraid of there? If their (dubious in my mind) claim is only the Legislature can do anything isn't the vote moot?

Doesn't that indicate that UND had/has the power and authority to change the name because what the Legislature did precluded UND's rightful authority?
