  1. It's the end of "next week" Mr. Schlossman.
  2. Didn't Schlossman speculate we'd know the ins-and-outs by the end of this week? Tick-tock ...
  3. Some history: http://www.westfargopioneer.com/news/crime-and-courts/4281708-i-became-witness-one-punch-homicide-forum-reporter-recounts-fatal
  4. Latest on the case: http://www.valleynewslive.com/content/news/-mug-Attorneys-for-man-accused-in-fatal-Fargo-bar-brawl-looking-to-get-trial-moved-to-different-location-483250561.html
  5. Nothing worse than being Charlie Huddy to somebody's Paul Coffee.
  6. You know what you don't see in that list. V-G-K
  7. If ya hadn'ta picked Blackheart and Owbow as two of your four D ...
  8. I don't want the best player from any USHL or BCHL or AJHL team. I want the second best player from every USHL and BCHL and AJHL team. <--- a Vegas state of mind.
  9. Bridgestone is a nice arena in a good part of town to host hockey fans. I can personally verify those statements. No further comment.
  10. Dang. I was hoping they'd put ice back in here for an event game. Stay at the Wagon Wheel.
  11. Some of NDSU's existing housing makes Johnstone/Fulton/Smith look like the Ritz. Don't be surprised when some of that, especially the stuff on valuable ground (say near their union and new STEM building), becomes "available" shortly after the new facility comes online.
  12. But you can for actions while being a hot head.
  13. So, Oxbow, I'm really "Agent J" of the MIB ... forget me not.
  14. To pass: stoney - I need (Wild Bill + Kuznetzov) to outscore (Ovechkin + Oshie) by 17 Bluth - I need Wild Bill to score 8 points petey - I need Kuznetzov to outscore Ovechkin by 4 home - I need Wild Bill or Kuznetzov to score To be passed by: rube - Ovechkin must outscore Kuznetzov by 8 Goon - Ovechkin must outscore (Wild Bill + Kuznetzov) by 14 Looking at that I'd say I'm pretty safe at #5 and should be top 4. What's interesting is if I get my points to pass petey, and my point to pass Bluth, I'm really not that far from stoney. <-- I'm coming for ya man!
  15. Was I happy on August 5, 2005? No. I knew what was coming: 2012. Was I happy that something generic (bird) was the choice? No, but I could see it coming. Did I figure generic begets generic when it comes to a logo? Yes. Was I happy? No. All that said, when I hear "Fighting Hawks" or see the new logo I'm happy. Why? No more nonsensical news stories about how the old name causes this, that, or the other. No more grandstanding "protesters" when we go on the road. No more having to listen to pontifications by Jeanotte-heads. No more NCAA threats. So, amongst all that unhappy, I found my happy in this outcome. So yeah, I see that name and log and I smile because I found happy in unhappy.
  16. You can not make someone happy. You can make them laugh. You can make them smile. But happy is a choice they make. You can not make someone happy. That said, and more importantly, You can not make everyone happy.
  17. Chicken or egg? It has not been put out there so folks don't see it and associate it with UND so they don't buy it or It is out there and folks are not buying it so retail chooses to do as you claim. Can we make a causality claim here?
  18. It's not scientific at all, but the logo poll on this site is: Nominally 50/50 split looking at ABC vs DE ratings Nominally 64/36 "pro" when looking at pass/fail grading (meaning ABCD vs E) I don't see "overwhelming consensus" in either of those. However, given history, I wouldn't expect it either.
  19. Consensus. I do not believe we are there.
  20. My speculation: It's frustrating to some who wanted "no nickname" when they really meant they wanted a void there. And where there is void something will (even unofficially) fill it and we all know what that would've been. Instead, there's no void. And what was there is displaced, retired, and unable to fill a void that does not exist.
  21. Um, the Summit League offices are moving into the Sanford Sports Complex. Why would they leave a conference where the tournament is and will be played on their alternate home court?
  22. And that merely serves to further focus the Summit League away from its prior core (Illinois/Indiana) west to the I-29 corridor. You can see that steady westerly migration by looking at the list of former members. That said, this announcement makes me even more sure that IPFW will be trying to get into a more Indiana-centric group (like where IUPUI went) and Western Illinois will probably also be shopping (most likely the OVC).
  23. Form 990 shows it all. Page 1 of each shows Activities and Governance, Revenues, Expenses, and Net.
