Big A HG
I finally got an account to work! My friend and I were making a list of all the songs we could think of that they play during the course of any men's hockey game. We have a lot, but know we are missing a lot too. Anything you can think of throw it out there! I will post the final list when I think it is satisfactory... A

dead_rabbit
what do you have so far for us to go off of? The ABSOLUTE BEST intro song, at least in IMO, would have to be In Your Honor by the Foo Fighters. Stop what you're doing right now, put in the In Your Honor CD, and play track 1 (or go download it). The way I picture the song being used with the intro is like this: The song is pretty mellow for the first 1:40 (might be too long for the intro of the intro, but maybe not), but it is building up to a big "boom". Anyway, for the first 1:40, there would be video of Sioux players in slow motion, making these sweet a** moves around burnt defensemen. You wouldn't see a shot on goal being made for the first 1:40 though. There might also be video of Sioux opponents trying to make the aforementioned sweet a** moves on Sioux players, but only to be stymied. At 1:40, the video goes into normal speed, starting out with a huge check on preferably a Goofer, followed by more checks, and 5 or 6 sweet a** goals, also on Briggsieve. After that more goals, and more sweet a** goals, lots of checks, and of course Lammy making sweet a** saves (sorry, I was challenged to use "sweet a** five times in one post). Oh yeah, make sure the volume is turned up to 11, and pretend your sitting in the Ralph, or better yet, at the Excel (or in St Louis) for Sat nights championship game. In Your Honor lyrics; "In Your Honor" Can you hear me Hear me screamin' Breaking in the muted skies This thunder heart Like bombs beating Echoing a thousand miles Mine is yours and yours is mine There is no divide In your honor I would die tonight Mine is yours and yours is mine I will sacrifice In your honor I would die tonight For you to feel alive Can you feel me Feel me breathing One last breathe before I close my eyes This suffering For receiving Deliver me into the other side For you to feel alive For you to feel alive For you to feel alive AHH
ChicagoSiouxFan
Bring back Right Now by Van Halen (if not at the beginning, at least some time during the game) Here is my list of songs Thunderstruck
Ray77
Not sure if they play this at the Ralph or not...but a suggestion. When I played, BY FAR the song that pumped me up the most (during warmups) was Metallica's version of the song "Whiskey in the Jar". Nothing else even came close. Don't they play a little John Denver?
luapsided
P.O.D 'Boom' is a must AFI Misteria Cantera??? Not sure of spelling(The song before the players come out I hope they continue to play. Its perfect!) Disturbed is always good for loud, out of control, helmet bashing music The Zambonis I wanna drive a zambonis. To think this is a hockey arena and they play it maybe twice a season! My god this thread just made me realize, AGAIN, how the music they play at the REA is horrid! Someone needs to be canned!
Shawn-O
Foghat - Slow Ride Nickelback - Saturday Night's the Night for Fighting John Denver - Thank God I'm a Country Boy Orgy - Blue Monday TROOPER - RAISE A LITTLE HELL (Where else are you going to hear this???) Big A HG
Sweet! Keep them coming! Keep in mind that I only really want songs that they play there, just to have the REA atmosphere. This is what I had before this, in this order (some are kinda funny like Copa Cabana, haha): 1) Miseria Cantare (The Beginning) - AFI 2) Stand up and Cheer - Sioux band 3) The Kids Aren't All Right - Offspring 4) Follow - Breaking Benjamin <---------favorite song! 5) Right Now - Van Halen 6) The Slam - Toby Mac 7) Sirius - Alan Parsons Project 8) Welcome to the Jungle - Guns and Roses 9) Song 2 - Blur 10) Copa Cabana - Barry Manilow 11) Machine Head - Bush (not sure if they play this one for sure) 12) In Heaven There is No Beer - Sioux Band 13) Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne 14) Raise a Little Hell - Trooper 15) The Way you Move - Outkast 16) Hit Me With Your Best Shot - Pat Benetar 17) Fight On Sioux - Sioux Band 18) Hold Your Head Up - Argent (not good when they play this one...) 19) Beds Are Burning - Midnight Oil (they didn't play this one this year really) 20) It's For You - Sioux Band 21) Hockey Song - Sompin' Tom! 22) Cecilia - Simon and Garfunkel (have to move this one somewhere) I'm looking for the song that they play with the pump up video where it says "The Heritage, the Legacy, etc..." before they play The Slam by Toby Mac So, any others, let me know! Thanks A

Sioux18
Rock and Roll Part 2 (Na-na-na HEY! Go Sioux) - Gary Glitter I Want It All - Queen The Hockey Song (Hello out there, we're on the air, it's hockey night tonight...) - Tom Connors Start Me Up - Rolling Stones Beautiful People - ? We Are the Champions - Queen Back In Black - AC/DC We Will Rock You - Queen Hit the Road, Jack - Ray Charles I know they play songs like Chicken Dance, YMCA, etc., but I don't really count these as arena songs. The list of songs the band plays for the crowd would include: Eat 'em Up Fight On, Sioux In Heaven There Is No Beer It's For You, North Dakota U Stand Up And Cheer I always loved when they played "Hong Kong Phooey" for David Hoogsteen, and we sang: Hoogsteen Phooey, Number One Super Guy. Hoogsteen Phooey, quicker than the human eye. He's got style, a groovy smile, and a shot that just won't stop. When the going gets rough, he's super-tough with the Hoogsteen Phooey Chop. Huh! And yes, in case you're wondering, that's where the Sioux18 comes from. Sioux18

siouxforeverbaby
I know they have played I Love Rock n Roll, but I don't know who is the one singing it. Sorry, I am really bad at things like that. I should bring a tape recorder to the Ralph to tape all the songs I like so I remember them. Fighting Sioux 23
I think it's more like: In heaven there is no beer (no beer!) That's why we drink it here (right here!) And when we're all gone from here, Our friends will be drinking all the beer. Some folks just sing "and when we're gone from here". Sioux18 I always sing three verses, like such... VERSE 1 In heaven there is no beer (no beer) That's why we drink it here (right here) And where We're gone from here Our friends will be drinking all the beer VERSE 2 In heaven there are no refs (no refs) But here, they're blind and deaf And when we all have left Our friends will be bitchin at the refs VERSE 3 In heaven there is no snow (no snow) But here, it's ten below (brrr) And when we all must go Our friends will be shoveling the snow then usually back to Verse 1. Also, Seven Nation Army is played at the Ralph...
Siouxmama
I can't stand that song!!! I'd rather shove a meat thermometer in my ear than listen to that crap, but that's just my opinion. Each to their own, though. If we all had the same taste this world would be a very boring place. A great song to pump up the crowd, IMHO, is "Eye Of The Tiger". Surprised that one hasn't been mentioned yet. Didnt say I liked it...just that they play it. Now my daughter on the other hand...she loves it.
