Bubba was already under contract for 2 more years. If you send him home you still pay it.
I had a visit from one of the foundation guys last week looking for donations. Not affiliated with athletics. 
He told me that Bubba has been a big boost for that department. He is very well liked, knows everyone and opens a lot of doors for them.  Often goes along on alumni visits.

I had heard a while back that Bubba was “crushing it” in his new role. Sounds like a win-win to me

Schmidt’s program is paying dividends. Depth is building. Facilities, nutrition, and strength/conditioning program all coming together …here are some likely future standouts as a result.
