sioux24/7 Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 UND opens the New Year with a home matchup against Oral Roberts on 1/1 at 1pm at The Betty. UND comes in at 6-10 and sitting 322 on KenPom. Oral Roberts is 5-10 and ranked 298. KenPom actually likes UND in this one, projecting a 76-75 Hawks win, so this feels like one of those coin-flip Summit-type games where home court could matter. Oral Roberts is led by senior guard Ty Harper (#1), a transfer from Youngstown State. He is their clear go-to guy, averaging 16.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists. He can score at all three levels and will probably have the ball in his hands late. After him, keep an eye on #9 Ofri Naveh, a 6’7 sophomore putting up 12.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Solid size and versatility. Then there’s #5 Connor Dow, a 6’6 junior who is their volume shooter. He has already taken 105 threes this season, hitting them at 33 percent, and is averaging 10.9 points. If he gets hot, that can change things quickly. This is also Oral Roberts’ first season under head coach Kory Barnett, so they are still figuring things out. One other thing I’m really curious about is what’s going on with freshman forward Micah Curtis for UND. He’s basically been MIA, only appearing in three games all year and hasn’t been with the team lately. Feels like a sure fire transfer. Should be an interesting one and feels like a game UND needs if they want any momentum heading deeper into Summit play. 2 1 Quote
UNDDOM Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 Last I heard Micah was back home in Minneapolis and "rehabbing". Safe to assume both sides have probably moved on. Quote

EternalOptimist Posted yesterday at 01:15 AM Posted yesterday at 01:15 AM Guga played well, Garrett played better than he has. Eli played well, Grayson had higher turnovers than normal. Marley did well picking up 7 rebounds. Jones only picks up 1 foul, albeit within the 1st 30 seconds of the game, but doesnt score. We had a 17pt lead at the half and found a way to make it close. Coaching unable to make any changes. A win is a win, even if it's ugly, but boy, some of that was really ugly. 1 Quote
sioux24/7 Posted yesterday at 02:36 AM Author Posted yesterday at 02:36 AM I just can’t believe Reggie Thomas is playing real D1 minutes. He was good today so it’s working just think we can get so much more out of AS3. 1 Quote

Kab Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Bothun had a big game last game and didn’t see the floor against ORU? why ? Quote
EternalOptimist Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago 57 minutes ago, Kab said: Bothun had a big game last game and didn’t see the floor against ORU? why ? Just my observation and hunch, but it seems like the coaches have a style of play they want to play, and don't deviate from it. They want a big to be physical and control the paint. It doesn't matter if Jones has more career fouls than points, he's a big body, so we stick with it even if he is 0-5. Same with Reggie and A3. Reggie does what he is told, and will give max effort. A3 has more upside and if handled correctly could be really good, but he's also a bit of a wild card emotionally and hard to control, so they continue to put their thumb on him to control it rather than to figure out how to make it flourish. It's the same thing that's happened with the twins. You can probably argue both sides of it, but at the end of the day the coach brings guys in. I think they do a good job of it, but then they want to control the situations and the players to suit what they want, often times destroying confidence in players and changing what made them good. Some players can handle being put in the coaches box, others cant. Good coaches work with players to make them more confident and better. Bad coaches put players in a decided box. 2 Quote
GoodGood Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Perfect year for the Summit to be all time bad. Big extension coming after we “exceed” expectations in this terrible league 1 Quote
