New threads to promote personal blog

Hey admins - there have been quite a few new threads being created where it appears the sole purpose is to redirect people to someone's personal blog. I'm not against anyone promoting additional "articles" about UND athletics, but more often than not these new threads have zero replies. The "Other Sports" section is a perfect example. All of these posts could instead be included in their already existing respective sport threads. Instead, all of the legitimate threads about Other Sports are buried behind a couple dozen zero-reply threads about someone's blog.

But truthfully, even when they are posted in the respective threads - there is no attempt at furthering discussion or interaction. It's essentially a copy/paste of "Hey Hawks fans, go check out my blog at this link. Have a great day!"

It's not a copy and paste! I'd never copy and paste! People think I do a great job of creating my work! I create my work with joy! If you have a problem with it then you're free to ignore it. @southpaw I promote UND Athletics proudly on my blog!!!

If you want @Und Princess banned, just come out and say so. But she hasn't done anything wrong whatsoever, so don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen.

If the Admins didn’t want it, then surely something would be done about it.

How about a specific thread for her blog that all new blog posts are posted in rather than a new thread for each blog post?  Would that be an acceptable compromise?

Doesn't bother me either way but think this could clean it up if clean up is needed

What part of the below gives you the idea that I'd like for her to be banned?

@Und Princess has a blog post about the awards for Volleyball and Soccer teams? Go ahead and post those in the specific 2025 volleyball and 2025 soccer threads. It could build conversation about the post rather than a separate thread for each individual blog post.

It also helps when people have her blocked so that they can easily skip over the posts, since threads started by blocked users are not hidden.

First of all, nice reference to Office Space. That is always appreciated. 

Second of all, why do her posts bother you so much? If you aren't interested in them, don't read them. Sounds like a simple enough solution to me.

Clearly there is some agreement by at least one admin because take a look at the Other Sports section now.
You can actually find the relevant other topics.

But her new thread today in the UND Men's Basketball thread is a perfect example.  "How did the UND Men's Basketball Team Do As of Late?" is a great topic to include in the 25-26 Season thread - where there could be additional actual conversation. And, if we're lucky, one of her blogs will spur great discussion about the 25-26 season, so doesn't it make sense that we'd want that included in the 25-26 season thread?

It's a mixture of wanting a cleaner experience when trying to find certain threads while actually giving her blog more visibility by including her posts in the main threads themselves.

I took the liberty of merging all the UND Princess blog post threads into one thread to clean up the Other Sports section.
Hopefully that will make it easier to navigate for all.

That might make it easier to keep everyone's relevant threads accessible from the first page and not buried.
