One thing I harpen back to is that one year ago this time, no one was even mentioning the Rucks as top flight recruits and look what happened 9 months later. But I do think we are very targeted on who we go after and  I would imagine that list is Schultz, Pue, England, Thompson, Cripps. 

I believe Kayden Stroeder is a target as well

Nice I liked basically that whole Hlinka Canadian team. Is Jonah Neuenschwander college eligible? I wonder if we would target him? I know there were rumors of Chyz going after some of the Swedes (Command) last cycle but obviously not working out.

Based on Neuenschwander playing pro already the past 2 years in the Swiss league I'd lean towards it being very likely he just plays pro in the Swiss league then jumps to directly to the NHL. Euro players actually have a nice development option for pro leagues so in general they probably have to be swayed by other factors to jump to the NCAA. (college lifestyle, getting to live in the US, etc are more what you probably have to sell those players on I'd imagine)

Ok thanks. That was pretty much what I was asking as most of the Euros seem to play pro in their native country before coming over so wasn't sure if he would even be eligible (which is obviously a whole other can of worms).

Husar is a great get by the staff! We have that position locked down for a while if they all develop as expected. Should be fun to watch.

Called Up podcast said one of the top 2028s was on campus in Denver recently to "hang out". Guessing they mean Pue or Schultz.

Also sounds like another top 2027 draft eligible player will be committing to Michigan soon. I expect that player to be either Brock England or Camryn Warren. Given the context of the statement, I wouldn’t classify Warren as a top draft eligible player right now.

I've seen a few different Mich people talk about Warren committing there, so I'm really hoping that it's him and that we're still in the running for England.
Our forward group for next season is pretty dang full, but he's one of those guys that you make room for.

I am really curious if Canada will run Schultz and Pue against the best 2010's in the world this year or if they will continue to protect them.  Having them play up vs our JV team and no Sweden, no Finland, no Russia was a no-lose scenario.

I really hope that is the case as well. After watching the Hlinka, I really want to land England and also not have Michigan keep loading up.

Priority #1 for next year probably needs to be a high-end RHD based on projected positional need, but England should be a close second. Even though our forward class for 2027 is already stacked, England is a guy you make room for. He’s the epitome of “speed kills.”

A forward recruiting group of Ruck, Ruck, Fitzhenry, Sanderson, Williams...and England would be absolutely insane.  Would love to see it.

Not sure he's a sure bet to come in next year either unless he really has a good year in the W. He could definitely be pushed back to make room for England.

In which event? They’ve already done well at the WHL level (Schultz better than Pue). I’m assuming both will have good dub year. If they’re not in the playoffs, they’ll be playing u18 worlds for Canada, no doubt. Against the ntdp u18 team + some added kids.

They ARE in the top 5 category for 2010s
